27 Restaurant - The Freehand
Great 'hole in the wall' type spot. Excellent food but even better service. Great for a casual meal with some style. Make sure to look around the house, very cool concept! Outside is great for dinner with the lights!
I actually reviewed 27 Restaurant a few days ago, but while on our trip to Miami we decided to go a second time and that is the best recommendation I can give. And make sure you try the cauliflower its delicious.
Our server Kristina was great! The drinks were really good and the food was amazing! The salmon croquettes, the banana bread French toast is to die for, my mouth waters just thinking of it, and the chicken and waffles.
What a pleasant surprise. Went for lunch on a Saturday. Very relaxed spot in a cool setting. Falafel salad and arepas were great!
Adorable setting with good vibes. Very attentive service and delicious food. All ingredients tasted very fresh with unique flavors.
This place is great we loved all the food we had, it was so tasty, we can't wait to come back.
We had a wonderful time and the service was great! Wish the entrees were slightly bigger for the price, but the food was delicious.
The food at 27 is fantastic. Highly recommend the octopus dish and fried bread. It is great for a group or just an intimate meal for two.
Top spot. Go to place every time I am in MIA! The food, service and ambiance are top
Great margaritas in the bar before dinner and bar staff really friendly. Food was great and staff made suggestions and were fun and attentive.
Lovely spot. Great food. Great service. We had a very enjoyable meal.
Good food, good mood, good service, great & relax place (but not too much "hipster") un-expected in Miami ! The best adresse of our trip in the city.
I've taken a girlfriend to this restaurant before, but this time it was a large family group -- 15 of us! They seated us at a large table outside where we could enjoy the great weather and we ordered a variety of foods and everyone had something they loved. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the "old Florida" décor.
Fabulous food and great recommendations from our waiter, Hugo.
Perfect laid back vibe with excellent fresh food. Love that the staff knows what they are doing and what they are serving. A special place with great atmosphere....well done!....seats could be a bit more comfortable! :)
Delicious food in a fun and adorable setting. The former house feels intimate but inviting, friendly and great for groups or small parties alike. Highly recommend stopping by earlier for a drink at Broken Shaker!
Such a fun spot! We loved the vibe and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend
The food was good however just like many places in Miami they will try to up sell you on everything. We were told our portions would be small and that my dish would take 30 minutes to prepare. We ordered ribs, and really shouldn’t have. When our entrees arrived my tabbouleh was huge and had half a chicken on the plate, the octopus was a smaller portion. We couldn’t finish everything and of course couldn’t take it back to the room.
Super fun dinner! Food was delicious, and cocktails were creative! Fun environment and decor, too.
Beautiful space, lovely, creative food and cocktails. A Miami Beach must-try!
Delicious, creative sharables. Local vibe
Celebrated my anniversary at 27 Restaurant.
We ordered the kale salad, cauliflower and shared the burger.
All fabulous & would re order!
Music was great, good vibes and service!
In town visiting from Chicago. Everything we had was exceptional, and the creative take of "a mixture of cultural influences" worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.
I have never heard my husband use the term “fabulous” to describe anything, but he did tonight. The food here is outstanding, the service friendly, and the ambiance absolutely charming. Would return here in a heartbeat next time we’re in Miami.
27 Restaurant and The Freehand/Broken Shaker are my favorite bar and restaurant in Miami Beach. Great vibe, the people are friendly, the atmosphere is great and food at 27 Restaurant is fantastic. It is shared plates but off the chart when it comes to variety, flavors, and overall experience.
Love this place. Had a great time like always
This is my go to whenever I have people visiting from out of town. 27 and the Broken Shaker never disappoints!!!
A bit dark in the room. Portions small but tasty; dessert of choc chip cookies delish. Hostess cld be more welcoming.
European very casual atmosphere.
First of all service was amazing. Given how so many restaurants in Miami Beach seem to have an attitude there was non of that here. It was so refreshing. Second of all the food! Equally as awesome! We were there for brunch. Everything was sooo tasty. Only small complaint was dishes coming out at different times. We were sharing so it didn’t matter but if we weren’t would have been suboptimal.
Food was imaginative and creative, combining Miami vibes (patacones, yucca fries), with middle eastern (zaatar), South Asian (curry) and a variety of other influences. The patacones with avocado salad was unforgettable, as were the lamb ribs. We ordered a variety of dishes and nothing fell short of remarkable. The outdoor ambiance and attentive service were also unique and highest-level.
The setting is quaint and the food is more than a pleasurable experience. Great cocktails too. It’s a must-visit place!!
Beautiful ambience, the service was excellent, and the food outstanding. One of my favorite places on Miami Beach, great food and perfect place to chill at the bar next door by the pool.
Food was amazing. I wish we were staying longer so we could enjoy one more meal and try other things on the menu. My only complaint is that we were seated outside and the chairs were quite uncomfortable. But the food from appetizers to dessert were truly exceptional.
I’ve gone to 27 with friends late at night and always had a good time. This particular visit was with my parents and we could only get a reservation for 6:30pm. There were barely any other customers there but we were treated SO rudely and rushed like I’ve never been rushed before. Our server fully rolled her eyes at us and hissed at the busboy to stop putting clean plates on the table when we said we were done eating, like we weren’t worth her time despite already having over $100 worth of sharing plates. She also removed several plates before we were done eating without asking — I had to tell her she took away the food we weren’t done with and she brought a little bit more to make up for it, unhappily. It’s not a cheap place and we shouldn’t have been treated this way. My parents hated the restaurant. I wish I could have told her she rushed us and that I saw her roll her eyes and say rude things about us to the busboy, but I was afraid of her getting angrier. I couldn’t believe it, and felt awful my dad was paying for this meal. This used to be my favorite restaurant but I’m a little traumatized now. Beware about dining in the earlier half of the night — seems like 9pm+ is the way to go. Food is usually delicious, though.
So good - it’s worth the noise. Must have cauliflower with pesto and the whole fish. The leche cake was the best we ever had.
all in one, great experience!! Amazing food and service.
To start off with - the food was very good. It was the service that was terrible. When we sat down we ordered 2 of their specialty cocktails and we placed our order, specifically telling our server not to hurry anything. She also opened our bottle of wine.
Well, needless to say, our first order of food came out in 5 minutes, yet no cocktail to enjoy before dinner. So, we started to drink the wine. By the time we finished our appetizers, the drinks finally came, along with my wife's main course, but not mine. We could hardly enjoy our cocktail. My dinner did not arrive until my wife was done with hers. Terrible.
If you go, I would suggest not order anything until you get your drinks and then only order one course at a time.
Food was tasty. I was trying to understand why the prices for appetizers and small plates were so similar when the amount of food for a small plate was much larger than what you get for an appetizer. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable but the atmosphere was nice. We sat outside where they had heat lamps (awesome because it was chilly!).
I haven't been in a few years, but a friend was visiting so I decided to check it out again. The food was over the top and the natural wine selection is top notch. We went twice in one week.. it was that good!
The food was very tasty, however the service was not the greatest. I will say it wasn't too different from the service we experienced in most Miami Beach restaurants - but our server was a little abrasive and we could tell she was judgmental of our order, which was off-putting. I'd recommend for the food but not for the experience (stick to grabbing a drink at Broken Shaker).
