Abe and Louie's - Boca Raton
Celebrated my husband’s birthday. A&L is our favorite place to have a perfectly prepared swordfish and slow roasted prime rib steak. Perfect all the time. We dine in this restaurant weekly. Fabulous food, excellent service and great ambience.
Our food was just fine, so was the service - the big problem is their management! We booked our reservation through OpenTable and spent over $250 for the evening. Abe & Louie's refuses to confirm our attendance there with OpenTable causing us to lose our points and possibly a reservation cancelation fee. We've attempted to fix the problem with the restaurant and with OpenTable and they are pointing at each other to resolve it.
I've been there over a dozen times, I won't ever go back again.
Service was excellent, food was correctly cooked and presented. The only area where service was lacking was in clearing plates and presenting new dishes. Reaching across the table is not the correct way to serve an entree and twisting to fill a glass from a bottle of wine, well, that could also be improved. At the next staff meeting, you may want to suggest service does not clear plates until the last guest has finished eating. Overall, it was a positive experience. With upgrades on presentation, proper cutlery and serving utensils and education on how to clear (and not stack) plates....it can be a 5 star experience.
The service was OK. My wife ordered her filet medium well. It came the table bloody rare. A restaurant like Abe and Louie’s with their high prices should get it right.
Requested a booth 3 hours prior to our meal and was told yes no problem . After getting there I was told they had to give it away. I was 20 minutes early and no reason that should of been done. My mother is very weak and needed to be in a booth not on a seat.
It was Father’s Day and probably my moms last Father’s Day dud to her cancer.
Very disappointed . It set our tone to begin our dinner experience.
We are loyal Abe n Louie fans ... not sure if we will
Ever go back
The shrimp cocktail, salad, steak, chicken, and cheesecake were excellent. The French fries were not crisp. The grilled asparagus had untrimmed woody ends. Three people in the party did not like the asparagus.
Food overall was decent. Shrimp was over cooked, very chewy. Steaks were overcooked. Scallops were excellent. Lobster Mac the best I’ve had. Service was not as good as Chops.
Our server Alan was awesome. He was very friendly and attentive
Quality of food and service is outstanding. We were there for Father's Day brunch, the offerings were great. Our service staff was attentive but not intrusive. And even though we were seated in a room with a fair amount of kids, the noise level was quite low. Only gave them a 4 start on price because it is very expensive and the best value- but def the best food and service
Inasmuch as the food was amazing and the service was friendly the restaurant was filthy. The carpet was so dirty the pattern was not visible. While we were eating a waiter was sweeping the rug around us. The noise level was extreme and some people were so drunk they should have been asked to leave. It was An annoying scene.
Furthermore the same drunk people were given their car keys by the valet and I watched them drive away sloshed.
I won’t be going back anytime soon.
The food was excellent, as was the service. My only real criticism is the noise level. We found that we had to yell at each other in order to be heard. BTW, the rib eye steak, which my husband and I shared was like butter, truly delicious. The house salad was excellent. The mashed potatoes were good, but not great. The creamed spinach was more cream than spinach, not to be ordered again. The sautéed onions and mushrooms were worth ordering. The dark chocolate cake we had for dessert was very rich and could have benefitted from some creme fraiche, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to cut the super richness of the cake.
Honestly...not impressed....my husband ordered the petite filet mignon....medium rare...and that's exactly what he got....a petite filet on a plate....no garnish...no color...nothing...meat on a plate....it was shocking...and the filet was dry...and flavorless....we ordered the mushrooms as a side...again....not impressed....I ordered the salmon...I will described it as bland and tasteless..thankfully you served lemon ....the ice cubes in the other hand kept the water cold throughout the meal!...LOL....guess Abe and Louie Is the steakhouse in Boca but we would prefer Jackson Prime in Ft Lauderdale.....there you will learn what a real steakhouse is all about and how to satisfactorily serve lovers of fine beef....we will Not be back.....
The only complaint is we got sat next 2 tables that had 8 people so it got loud fast and took away from romantic feeling.
Outstanding steakhouse! Top shelf service and food.
Abe and Louie’s is the best steak restaurant in Palm Beach County. We have never been disappointed by any aspect of this wonderful restaurant.
My parents love Abe & Louie's and we chose to celebrate my mom's 89th birthday there. The staff was so accommodating (wheel chair & walker) and very attentive. The food was great and the noise level was low. We had a beautiful birthday celebration!
My 60th Birthday. Our waiter started off with an attitude which we did not appreciate. The food was very good.
I felt it was strange to walk over with a piece of chocolate cake with a candle in it not lit. He then proceeded to light it and say happy birthday.
Our meal was delicious. We've been here many times and they're always consistent. The only problem was the table next to us was having a loud disagreement the entire time which was annoying.
It was a perfect evening. From the friendly valet, hostesses and excellent service of the waitstaff .
The food was cook to perfection, right through to the desert and coffee. I look forward to dinning at Abe and Louie's again
Still a great place for special occasion dining. We had a gift card so we took our adult children there for dinner. We went early and it was nice. Off season I recommend you try and go early --5:30-6:00 pm range. It's quieter and service is quicker... Had a nice evening....
Abe and Louie’s far surpasses any steakhouse we hav ever been too. There is nothing except the highest quality, the perfection in preparing the food and the service.
We have been going to Abe and Louie’s for 10 plus years now and tried others who were said to be highly recommended....with no success.
The best is always Abe and Louie’s. We now bring our family , when they visit from up north there because we are guaranteed perfection every single time.
Best steak, baked potato and salad.
A usual GREAT
Perfect meal. Outstanding steak and service.
Tbone ribeye was outstanding I paired it with some brussel sprouts with bacon and onions. My first time here and I will be back
Abe & Louis has been my favorite restaurant in the Boca Raton are for years! I love absolutely everything about this restaurant!!!!!
Had another great meal for my son’s birthday. Food and service were outstanding.
Absolutely excellent always consistent
The service was excellent and we greatly appreciated the friendly service. The petite fillet was cooked correctly and was very tasty. However, the prime rib, though cooked properly, was sinewy and very fatty. We would not order that again. But we must admit that we had the best bread pudding ever!
In my opinion this is the best steakhouse in Boca. Great food and service. Never fails to deliver great everything. Always a joy to eat here.
Best Steak house around. The steak was fabulous and the sides were as well
Always have a great experience here. Service and food are top notch.
We return as often as we can.
Great old fashion steakhouse
Classic and great steaks !!
This had to be the poorest showing at Abe and Louie’s yet. I have dined for lunch over 50 times. We got our table and server was nice and informative. Restaurant was about 60 percent full. It was 1240 when we sat down The tradition cheese crisps wet stale. The drinks were prompt and then we ordered. Before the main course arrived my friend next to me commented no less than 3 times about how the food was not out yet. Between our soups and getting main course it was at least 45 minutes. I ordered tuna burger rare. It came out medium to medium well. I was so hungry I choked it down. Happily I requested wasabi and it helped. For s business lunch and celebration feel hour and forty five minute lunch too long. So we skipped my friends bday dessert. Have to say our last dinner not great and now this. May be a whole since I go back and with competition all around hope they pick up their game. Use to be my favorite steak place.
We came for my father in laws 88th birthday lunch. First time for lunch as it is usually a dinner restaurant for us. It was delicious as usual and we had Wagner as our server and he was excellent!
Kyle was a great waiter
The go to restaurant in southern Palm Beach for great steakhouse fare. Perfectly prepared steaks and chops, excellent salads and wonderful sides presented professionally by outstanding servers.
Service was great and helpful all the staff were accomodating and got us a nice table when we asked to change original one
