Atlanta Fish Market
Amazing! Mariah is the most attentive and pleasant server we’ve ever had! Thank you for an amazing first time experience!!
As always, we had a great meal with attentive staff.
I loved the food! Was actually better the next day! The sweet potatoes were amazing. The crab cake was too salty! Scallops are delectable! Creme Brule little to sweet but good with the coffee!
Celebrated my mother's birthday. Our server was VERY attentive even though the restaurant was crowded. He did a wonderful job of acknowledging my mother's birthday, and even brought a desert on the house.
The only issue was they were out of the featured wines and could make an expreso martini because no vodka
I enjoyed this restaurant because the food was great!
Great food, great ambience great time by all. AFM performance was great as usual.
Had a very nice evening but they did not mention my husband’s birthday which was on the reservation. But that’s OK. Next time when I order grouper I will have them blacken it and use less BUTTER
2/14/19 - Great Valentines Day dinner!
We love coming to the fish market! The food is always fresh, and usually the waiters/waitresses recommend the special. This time was a bit different, and maybe because it was Valentines Day and a little busy. But the waiter said they didn’t have any specials and the recommended wines they didn’t have either. This one lump in my experience doesn’t interfere the amazing food and desserts. We’ll surely be back soon!
Valentines Day experience was great!
This was my third visit to AFM . We had a fantastic time , the food was awesome .
Loved it, very tasty and great service. Would recommend to anyone.
Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve had at Atlanta fish market. We arrived at our reservation time and despite the restaurant not being busy yet at 6:30 it took over ten minutes to be seated. We sat at our booth for 15 mins before even being greeted by our server. He looked completely overwhelmed and apologized for our wait. We placed our order for everything when he did arrive: drinks, appetizers, and meal. We waited another 20mins when we received our salad and soup and not a minute later our meal came out. We still hadn’t received our drinks. Our waiter was very nice, but unfortunately this was not the service I expected from Atlanta Fish Market.
Chef's special of the day is usually a better choice. Oysters are way over priced at $4/piece. (A dozen would be $48).
Fantastic place for dinner. Fish and shrimp were fresh and the entrees were excellent. Delicious wines and creme brulee.
The food is always delicious. It has unique culinary choices. The ambiance is nice earlier in the day due to the lack of noise/ not very busy. However, during prime times when it’s full, it can be too loud for me. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the person you are taking with.
Fast Service. Nice portion of food. Will definitely recommend.
Great seafood and service. Our guests were very impressed with swordfish and Flounder Casserole. My scallops were perfect.
The food was amazing but the service was terrible. Our server completely ignored our table and the pace of our meal was sooooo slow.
My wife and I enjoyed Atlanta Fish Market very much. Rudy was our server, he was very friendly and helpful. The crab cakes are delightful!
Fabulous dinner, great service, wonderful evening! I started with lemon drop martini. It was delicious. I had the lobster tail appetizer. My husband had the gazpacho. Both were terrific. The grouper Francese was my entree. My friend had the swordfish and my husband had the Newburg casserole. Everything was excellent. We had key lime pie and chocolate toffee crunch desserts. Absolutely delicious! The Fish Market never disappoints!!
Service was terrible. Cocktails delivered half full.
Started with the Hamachi Jalepēno -delish! Salad, wedge- good...that should be a given (the Greek salad was greasy and had tons of garden peppers, no peperoncinos- that was a direct send back!) My main course, mussels- not great...it looked like many of the mussels were not fully cooked and maybe forced open. Should gave sent them back too but just gave up!
My go to is the lobster tail (after having ordered, I saw that it must be everyone's go to, as about half the bar ordered t by em!) but it's fried, so I was reluctant. Never again! I had fun but today the food was kind of disappointing! Gotta stick with what I know is good!
Chalk it up to bad choices and people who don't notice how much is left behind, I guess.
Everyone in my group was satisfied with our meals. The food was so good and the service was great. I was also very satisfied with the fact that we could actually hear each other in this restaurant. I would come back for another special occasion.
halibut done perfectly but almost ruined by too much the lemon butter sauce on top which was too much and overly salty.
was able to salvage by using a napkin to soak up and turning it upside down
next time I'll remember to ask for sauce on side
We dine there as often as we can. Fresh fish, prepared so well, served well. A great experience.
We made reservation and arrived 10mins prior to the time. We waited about 20mins after reservation time to be seated. Waiter seemed overwhelmed and not focused on us most of the time. We were sitting for 30 mins without any drinks ordered. Appetizers came out after 15 mins wait from ordering (not bad). Sushi was good, buffalo Shrimp was not fried correctly tasted wet.
After eating appetizers we sat about 10mins waiting to order entree ( which came within 20mins) it was not the best meal.
Salmon was bland, corn was too creamy and runny on the plate, sweet potato souffle was extremely sweet and runny/sloppy.
Kids meals GA fried shrimp was horrible ( seemed wet and not cooked crispy), Salmon was bland without any seasoning and mashed potatoes slopped on the plate ( not a good presentation)
Had a free dessert for my birthday ( might be the best thing we've tasted all night)
Paid over $166 for 5 people ( 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children)
A Birthday night Celebration and wished we went to another restaurant.
Will not reccomend or attent again
Made a reservation, still had a wait if 30 minutes. The waiter either delivered our meal incorrectly or the cook mixed them up. Either way our meals came out incorrectly. The food didn’t taste as good as it did when I went years ago! I may try one more time for redemption but no rush to do so right now!
In the top 5 of my worst experience ever. Had 7:30 reservations but AFM was running 15 minutes behind, which was fine, so we said we would wait at the bar. Went to check at 7:55, and we were completely forgotten about, finally sat down at 8pm.
We ordered our drinks right away after sitting down but they took more than 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered our appetizers and main course sometime in between, around 8:10-15. Only the appetizers arrived after 9pm, but upon that time we had to cancel our entree so we could get away in time for a 10pm show downtown.
Our server was very genuine and extremely courteous, none of the delay was his fault. The food we received was also very good good.
This evening, the entire restaurant management had a problem understanding their capacity and our experience suffered terribly.
I will start by saying that the food was excellent. My wife and I ended up having a great evening. Only thing that kept it from 5 stars overall is that we were not seated until 30 minutes after our Open Table reservation time and we were only ten minutes early. So a 40 minute wait for our reserved table.
What’s the point of making a reservation if you have to wait an additional 30 to 45 min to be seated when you get there. Also once we were seated, my husband ordered from the menu, the waitress waited almost 30 minutes to let us know that that item was all gone for the day. Mind you it was a Saturday., they are supposed to know that a lot of people are dining out. And even if you happen not to have an item on the menu, let the servers know so they can tell your customers that the requested item is off the menu, so we don’t waist each other’s precious time, because since the restaurant is busy, to get your food you have to wait an additional 30min, at least in our case. So NO THANK YOU! We won’t be back.
It was my husband's birthday we had made reservations ahead of time for 6:30 was unable to be seated until 7 and the hostess was a bit rude. Then after being seated, we sat at the table for 10 minutes before even receiving a menu. The food was OUTSTANDING. My husband had the king crab legs and I had the fried seafood platter. Our appetizers were the calamari. The food was excellent, our server was good but overwhelmed because of the volume of customers he had to attend to, but overall he did the best he could. The management should do a better job with staffing and keeping to reservation timing.
It was my first visit. The food was very good but the waitresses were not. They were not attentive and I had to keep asking for the table necessities.
Exceptional food quality & taste good in relaxing atmosphere!
The restaurant was crazy on the Saturday before Valentines Day! Very difficult to get into the valet area.
However; once we got in the restaurant, we were seated only a few minutes after our reservation time. A miracle! There a lot of people waiting to be seated. As usual, they took me to the table I had requested. The food and service were both top notch. Hard to beat this place!
The restaurant was extremely busy and very loud. 15 minutes to get Valet parking upon arrival. Reservation was for 5:45. We were on time to check in. We were a party of 3. We were seated at 6:30. Staff was very busy. Placed our drink orders and menu orders. Our waiter was covering at least 6-7 tables. Drinks and water did not come till 7:00. My husband had to ask several times for a setup of silverware, napkin, water glass. Salads and appetizers came at 7:20. Still no bread. Still no setup with silverware for my husband. All the wine selections we wanted were sold out. Bread finally came after appetizers. My husband had to share my silverware and bread plate. Dinner was finally served by 8:00. My husband finally got silverware. Over 2 hours to get our meal. It was my sister’s birthday and we had to skip dessert because we have a caregiver at home who cares for our 100 year old mother. The caregiver has to leave at 8:30. We love your restaurant but not this past Saturday. We dine with you often but Saturday night was an exception to a pleasant evening. We will not be too critical of our waiter as he had too many tables and the kitchen was slow.
My wife ordered the fried shrimp and it soggy. the fries that came with the plate were cold. I had the trout almandine and it was not warm and had a strange "sauce" over the top which almost tasted like beef gravy. we had upon making the reservation requested a table against the wall. when we arrived, we were put in the middle of the floor. the noise level was so great, it was very difficult to hold any conversation.
My wife and I went for our anniversary and the dinner was perfect. We had the Pan Seared Jumbo Lobster Tail and it was cooked to perfection. My only advice is to get there early for a Saturday dinner. Our reservations were for 4:30 PM and when we left, the parking lot was packed and cars were still trying to get in.
We had not been to the Fish Market in years, but it is back as our anniversary dinner.
Love everything about this place!
