Atlanta Fish Market
My waiter and the chef prepared my meal exactly as I requested. This does not happen often. You have to be lucky to get a waiter who cares.
Our meal would have been excellent except both the lemon sole and halibut were somewhat over done. Service was excellent and the apple tart with ice cream was better than expected.
Great night out for our anniversary. Calamari and shrimp/crab cocktail appetizers were awesome! Had the special, which was lobster scampi with shrimp & scallops. Was good, but the shrimp tasted very iodine-y. The shrimp in the cocktail was excellent.
Always very good.....Fresh and tasty....Great location, wonderful service as always....
The food is very fresh and delicious. Great menu that made your selection hard and the price was reasonable.
Food was amazing but the service was terrible! After speaking with the manager our experience was better!
All the entrees we ordered were so fresh and delicious. The Lump Crab cocktail that we ordered had large pieces of fresh crab stacked high and came with two dipping sauces. We also ordered the Hong Kong Style scallops that were quite large in size and very tender and flavorful. I actually had to give to of my six pieces to my son. My favorite dish that we ordered was the Grouper Francese that was seasoned with lemon butter and capers. The vegetables that came with that dish were very fresh and seemed like someone had just taken the corn off the cob and put it on the plate. The service was great and timed right without our main entrees coming out before we finished our appetizers. The Atlanta fish Market is definitely my favorite seafood restaurant in Metro Atlanta.
Although my lobster was good, my wife’s experience in the restroom was unpleasant. While she was washing her hands a restaurant line cook left the stall, blew her nose and never washed her hands before returning to work. Needless to say, my wife had no appetite after that and complained to the manager who offered her a cocktail. Needless to say the evening was ruined and that was probably our last visit.
The atlanta fish market is one of my favorite restaurants. This visit there was a problem with the filet that came with the surf and turf. The waiter took the steak back twice to have it cooked correctly, but, it the end it just tasted charred. Everything else tasted very good. Out waiter was excellent and very attentive. We will be back!
Atlanta Fish Market is by far one of the best seafood restaurants in Atlanta! Their seafood is very fresh and cooked to perfection! I have dined at AFM several times over the years and have never been disappointed in a meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Warm and humid inside and fishy smell
Low value food quality for high prices
I was visiting Atlanta and stopped here for dinner based on my awareness of this restaurant. The broiled red snapper was awesome. With one minor delay in providing bread, the service was excellent. Overall great value
Terrific seafood! Love eating at the Atlanta Fish Market!
Food overrated. Mixed drink awful. Stuffed flounder watery. Very disappointed after big buildup. Never going back. More detailed write up to come on trip advisor
As always, great food great service and great atmosphere
Food was ok and Rudy our waiter was like a used car salesman otherwise it was just an ok meal with some of my clients
Everything was better than our expectations. Will eat here every time i’m In Atlanta
Had the sea bass and chopped salad which is what i order every time. They do a great job with it.
Excellent dinner for our anniversary , food and service was perfect
Overall the food was quite good. Halibut was excellent; Black grouper was not bad but had a pronounced taste and was just a tad overdone. The crab fritters were the best I have ever had. Our server was not quite stellar. Maitre d' was pleasant, prompt, accommodating and showed an interest in our experience. Table server was okay, but not up to the standards expected at this restaurant. Always some excuse as to why there was a delay in bringing us the next item or beverage. Also, when one points out to the server an error on the bill that resulted in an UNDERCHARGE of $100.00 one expects at least a thank you, if not a kiss on the cheek.
The food and service were both great with nothing left to be desired
Sunday night service less than stellar. Waiter said they were short staffed.
Food was good but expensive.
Waited a long time for another glass of wine.
This restaurant has been around for a number of years. The menu is pretty much the as it was 18-20 years ago. I took my mother for her birthday recently and the service was terrible (the waiter was overwhelmed and all over the place, the wait staff was avoiding him and as a result our table, and the food took forever even though the restaurant wasn't full). Every restaurant and waiter can have a bad night. The problem I have and why I am not giving a good review is that this is the third time in the last 6 months that I have gone to the restaurant and had OK to really bad waiters and non-existent wait staff. And all three times, the men's bathroom had wet floors due to people missing the toilet. I won't be going back. I hate to say good bye to this icon, but there are other seafood restaurants in Atlanta with professional waiters, attentive waitstaff and clean restrooms. Sorry that you just can't seem to get your act together.
Great server , excellent food
We have visited multiple times. Saturday night it can be a bit noisy and very busy. Be prepared to wait or make a reservation ahead of time. Food was excellent
We had a small table was very crowded and plates did not fit well felt very tight. Food was ok but one dish a shrimp appetizer was sent back had a very peculiar taste. Waiter did remove from our tab. Restaurant was very pretty but food not up to par. Was very disappointing
Celebrating my anniversary. Everything was great except my for my wife’s steak. Order was for medium and received med/rare. Other than that food was excellent. I would recommend to anyone.
Service was terrible - waiter was in another world
Food was outstanding and served just right. Casey , our waitress, was wonderful and really helped us with her suggestions
Food was pretty good. It’s definitely a special occasion or date night place for me. Prices
Great food (trout for me & red snapper for hubby) our guest chose Chicken Francese—-he said it was the best he ever had!
Atlanta Fishmarket is ALWAYS 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️! Great service, too!
Thank you for the kind words! It was a pleasure serving you and we hope to see you back soon!
Very good seafood. Although not known for sushi, it's also very good. The service is sometimes hit or miss. Our waiter disappeared for awhile. Overall, worth a visit.
When you walk in, the managers were standing behind hostess stand putting their game plan together. Take it somewhere else, you have plenty of space. The perception is not good when you have people waiting and you are huddling chatting. The hostess was not friendly and did not greet us even when I approached her with asking how she was today. The most professional was the young lady who sat us at our table. Then, the server who should not be training a new hire when he lacked all server skills. He did not listen, he did not read the customers needs and he said is everything great - I said meh it is not ok and he replied glad it is great while walking away. My food was saturated in butter when I ordered the fish to be prepared with Evoo. So I quickly moved my fish to my small plate to get it away from the butter filled entree. The cocktails were in glasses so big all we were drink was juice or soda. A cocktail should be prepared with measured components for balance not piled high like a Soda drink. Then, the bidder tried to take my plate 2x while I was eating. The room was like being at a bad Buffet breakfast where it goes Click clank click all around you. The server did not even recognize my dad was not drinking his cocktail. I mentioned do you have proper glassware for liquor drinks and he responded that’s what we use. And stated he would make us another one. I said no use at this point we are done and it will come out the same all coke. He did remove it from the bill since it was not consumed but that took for ever considering there was more staff than people in the restaurant. They could use a lot of practice on greeting, engaging and up selling the customers instead of just being robotic order takers. Lastly, the valet...he did not even say a word. He was looking for my ya d to take a tip. I put the tip with the ticket. He looked at it quickly grabbed the money and left the ticket in my hand without ever saying anything to me.
My favorite seafood place in ATL....always great food
Very Nice, clean and extremely fresh seafood.
My first visit in quite a while. The service wasn't terrible, but waiter could have cleared table sooner...
after appetizer, perhaps? The crab cake was wonderful ... mostly crab! The potatoes were perfect; the beans were also good. They were cooked to perfection and very tasty.
Look forward to next visit.
We love coming to the Atlanta Fish Market. Our family is never disappointed!
They need more reliable or intuitive hostess that actually take the time to recognize frequent diners and ensure they get their points upon arrival
