Our menu offers simple Italian classics balanced with a touch of contemporary flair; with an excellent range of antipasti & modern main courses from diverse regions of Italy. Larger dishes include fresh seafood, catch of the day, & meats cooked over an open fire adding a beautiful flavour. Perfect wood-fired pizzas are made on site daily by our team of pizzaiolos & cooked traditionally. Ingredients are key to recreating the authentic flavours of Italy, & the produce will always be the star of a dish at Bocconcino.
The service was fine but the food was mediocre and expensive for what you got. A disappointing eating
Good food with good ambiance.
Waitress was in a hurry to clean table and that made us leave quickly.
I had been recommended to go to BC. I would be happy to recommend it to friends and family, it was great. Delicious food, friendly and fast service.
Excellent fresh fish and tasty dishes with a nice presentation. Care for the guests and good wine selection. Friendly staff.
Way too expensive! And this is without bottle of wine. Sartoria in comparison is way better in terms of good quality and quantity and ambiance and value!
It was disgusting- my 8 year old niece can make food with more taste
This was our 2nd visit, and it will be our last. Started well enough, though we had to call the waiter back to take our wine order after he only took the food order. The bread ordered with/for the starter only arrived when we were halfway through it. The reason given was 'its made to order', I should think it is! it was incredibly salty when it did arrive.
The mains were good - nothing outstanding but ok. It really went downhill after the main course though. We were asked if we wanted desert and given the menu. Then, nothing. Not one of the waiting staff came back to take our order. It was like we were in an invisible bubble in the middle of the restaurant. After a good half hour or more, we decided to skip desert and go straight to the coffee - which we had to try to flag down a waiter for. The flat white was mostly foam with a tiny bit of coffee at the bottom. Not great.
When I finally caught the waitresses eye to ask for the bill, she brought it juicily (about the only quick thing) and set it down in front of my (male) friend, despite me (female) requesting it. When I mentioned to her that this was bad form (discreetly whilst my friend went to the bathroom) , rather than apologise she argued and said she had 'just put it on the table'. No, she set it neatly in front of my friend. And she continued to protest as much. Had I though better, I would have asked for the 13.5% service charge to be removed from the bill - 3.5% would have been more appropriate.
A disappointing experience that we won't be repeating. I can think of many better places in which to spend £200 for lunch.
It was a very nice meal but they didn’t give us any special treatment even though I had told them in advance it was my husbands birthday. Also felt like the meal was over quite quickly.
Main waiter staff were very good but the people providing drinks just gave no smile.
I did enjoy it and pleased we went but for the prices charged I’d except that little bit more.
Dinner was great! I would enjoy a little more varied pasta selection and the spinach salad was very over dressed.
The decoration is nice and the people friendly and polite.
However a few things did not help to make me feel I want to go again to dine at this place;
1. There were some technicians with tools at the end of the room doing some maintenance I guess (tools on a table like metre etc...bag with tools on the ground...). I would expect any maintenance to be done outside the opening hours.
2. The ladies room was smelling glue and was full of dust - even the door handle, mirror etc. I was expecting it to be clean and fresh.
3. The table height is not balanced with the chair height (table too high and chair too short) and this didn't make the whole experience comfortable.
4. The people of the restaurant were all standing in front of the bar and right behind me (very close as there in not much space in the room) and it was kind of "threatening"...I couldn't even check my phone without having the feeling that someone is over my head watching me.
5. Pasta was good but I would prefer it al dente and less oily
Per my perspective if the management take care of these things and focus on the details of an overall good service there is lots of potential for this place to become a real hot spot.
Food great. Service great. Would definitely recommend. Loved it!
In the midst of remodeling, so there's noise and dust. The food was fine but 50 pounds for a soup, salad, sparkling water and bread lunch is a bit over the top, even in Mayfair. Gratuity added to the bill, so beware.
This restaurant offers good and tasty Italian food. However, the restaurant is currently under major renovation: The construction area is absolutely visible and the entrance hall smells of construction material. The staff was professional, albeit mostly cold. There is none of the typical Italian warmth and hospitality. Specifically the lady at the entrance seemed annoyed when asked about the restaurant and the ongoing construction. All in all an okay experience.
Anniversary and got given free dessert with “happy anniversary written on plate” service was amazing !!!
Everything was great, except the Tiramisu. I’ve got the biggest sweet tooth, but I couldn’t even finish it. There was no flavor. They have a great wine list. The chicken Cesar salad was amazing. My wife had ravioli, which were perfect. The sauce was unreal. I had the veal tagliatelle, which was good, not the best. I would get the ravioli over the veal tagliatelle. The ambiance is perfect. However, while we were there they were doing construction on the ground floor. We sat downstairs. The construction noise wasn’t bad, just distracting. It might be best to go after construction has finished. We would go again.
Great food and service! Some of the truffle dishes are expensive but the quality is excellent!
The blonde hostess on entrance was incredibly rude and disinterested. When my fiance rang to say we were running ten minutes late she sighed and said well you can come but I dont know what we can do. We arrived and were very apologetic and suggested we sat at the bar she said no it was full, we suggested going somewhere for a drink and she said no she would give our table away. Another hostess stepped in and was very helpful and took us to stand at the bar. The waiting staff were brilliant and the food was very good - although the tempura prawn and spinach were over salted. Overall a good meal but for the money there are better restaurants where the whole experience makes you want to return.
Really great evening thank you!! The staff, food and ambience were wonderful!
Too much noise in the restaurant. Food was over cooked. No taste at all!
Will not recommend to anyone.
Went with my Girlfriend for our Anniversary and the ambience, layout and first impressions was very good.
Service was on point and the food was very good .....the only constructive feedback I could give was that we were disappointed we were charged for bread at the table given the prices and there was no ice offered with the water at the table but these were very minor niggles that did not overshadow a lovely long lunch celebrating our special day .....thank you!!!
Excellent spot for client entertainment. Staff respect privacy and are accommodating. Great wine list with a selection of choice from Italian regions and further across the World. Rare to find such a well curated menu. Compliments to the sommeliere. Highly recommend
Vibrant restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. Classic Italian menu - dishes well cooked, generous portions and well presented. Burrata cheese is excellent, as is calamari and tuna tartare. Pasta, pizza, steaks and fish in wide variety on the menu and the staff are happy to help with allergen information
Very pleasant restaurant in excellent location. Friendly and fast service with attentive staff. Good choice of dishes on menu - highly recommend lemon sole.
Overall a very enjoyable dining experience. Their menu has a good choice and Bocconcino is becoming a regular spot for me. I recommend to many colleagues and had excellent feedback from them as well. Rare to find a consistently good restaurant in Mayfair such as this. Traditional Italian restaurant with a few updates and good selection of crudi from the kitchen. Lovely fish display with fresh produce you can really taste the flavours from.
Second visit to Bocconcino and just as good as the first. Rare to find consistency so I was very impressed. The calamari is delicious with a fresh, homemade taste and not too much batter. Followed this with a crispy pizza - generous toppings of bresaola, rocket and parmesan. Really enjoyable meal. I highly recommend
Delicious Italian menu with great steak and fish selection. Catch of the day is very nice - seabream - and filleted tableside which is a great bit of theatre. Friendly service and very professional; felt well looked after and attended to.
Wine selection is extensive full of many Italian varieties and rest of the world. Can't resist a French White. Highly recommend
Rather superb restaurant - fresh ingredients well cooked and well presented. Knowledgable staff who were very aware of allergens of dishes and helpful with recommendations. Nice start to the meal with some warm foccacia. The crab tagliolini was a very generous portion size and cooked perfectly. I will return for this alone.
Better restaurants in area.Hate to give poor revue, unusual for me.You May like it.Not good value.
Ausgezeichnetes Essen, freundliches Personal, hat aber seinen Preis
This was my first time to at Bocconcino with my family. It was more than pleasant, starting with the welcoming staff who were very helpful with my grandmother who was on a wheelchair.
The food was great and the portions were generous. My favourite dish was the lobster linguini.
I would definitely come back and recommend it!
Brilliant service and tasty food. Restaurant is deceptively large, but never feels too big due to clever layout
Pre theatre dinner at 5.30 so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Enabled us to get served quickly. Food was tasty. Chair seats are very low in relation to table, wished I was a bit taller! Nice double height ceiling effect.
The food was delicious. The menu had an amazing variety of choices. The ambiance made us feel we were in Italy. We definitely will recommend this place and come back for sure.
Actually a very very nice restaurant. The food was amazingly tasty and the service was very nice. Would definitely go again and 100% recommend to go. So worth the money spent.
We saved this restaurant for our last evening in London and there is no doubt we saved the best for last! The ambiance is just beautiful! The service was outstanding and the food was beyond delicious! We loved everything about it from start to finish! We’ve eaten in some of the finest Italian restaurants in New York and this was right up there with the best of them. Just outstanding. Highly, highly recommend!
The service is very poor as the waiters never paying attention
Pasta dish was very expensive at £35.00 as it was a normal tasing pasta dish with truffle. Maybe need to find new suppliers for the truffle.
Lovely place, quiet, excellent service and delicious food.
