This was my second time here and my guest and I both had a marvelous time. The chefs tasting menu is excellent and if I lived in Boston I would go every week! The only difference was service was a bit slower even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy and it was a Thursday night. Staff was friendly and helpful as usual. More

The portions were perfect. I got the gnocchi with the caramelized onions, kale, cheese and sauce - it was fantastic. My boyfriend got the chicken, which was a generous portion and he enjoyed it. We got the $1 oysters (pretty good) and fried cauliflower (that plus the sauce it was in was delicious!). I got a castle island beer on tap, it was great. Our waitress was also wonderful, very sweet and attentive. I didnt love the decor (specifically, the chairs) but the overall ambiance was nice. We had a great time, would recommend to anyone looking for well-prepared, good quality food in the mid range price. More

Cute, simple brunch spot. Downstairs is very comfortable. The noise can get a little out of hand given that it's a pretty small space, but overall a good experience. Will certainly be back! More

This place exceed our expectations. A charming restored Victorian with a welcoming host and a lovely table by the windows were s good way to begin. But these folks are serious about their food. The hit of the evening was a plate of light and crispy nettle fritters. We want to go right back the next time they’re on the menu. Fabulous. More

You go for the room and ambiance. Food is very good but menu is limited and is no longer true French with large American steak size portions but more is always more. Very expensive but worth it as a special treat. More

Gorgeous setting with outdoor dining overlooking the property's beautiful hills and ponds. The service is efficient and consistently pleasant and upbeat. The food was delicious: my wife had seared scallops and I had sea bass. Both were excellent...could not have been better. We also ate on two other evenings at the downstairs tavern. Same menu but a more casual vibe. Hamburgers and pasta were very tasty. Vin, the bartender, definitely added to the ambiance. More

Discover Boston

Beantown, dubbed for the baked beans that put the city on the map, is about far more than beans these days. Local restaurants channel the region’s farm-to-table traditions and celebrate the iconic seafood of New England’s coast—no trip to the region is complete without a proper lobster (pronounced “lob-stah,” steamed and served with butter and corn on-the-cob), freshly shucked oysters, fried clams—you name it. Hometown to a handful of internationally influential female restaurateurs and the inimitable legacy of Julia Child, who called Cambridge home, Boston will always be a city where liberal sensibilities meet a global approach, in politics and on the plate.
