Bristol Restaurant and Bar - Four Seasons Hotel Boston
The Bristol Bar boasts a collection of sought after, small batch production spirits, some of which have been crafted specifically for us. Our cocktails playfully mash up seasonal ingredients and spirits that strike balance and create the perfect sip for any occasion.
Whether you are cozied up by the fireplace, taking in the stunning views of the Boston Public Garden, or casually sipping our maple syrup and cardamom old fashioned at the bar, The Bristol is your venue to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Excellent service our waiter was amazing! Great food highly recommend it..
comfortable, well decorated quietly elegant space with lovely view of the public garden from our table. the food was very good and artistically presented. The creme brule desert tasted good and was visually lovely but the spun sugar nest was a bit difficult to eat. More art than food. The restaurant was pleasantly not noisy.
We (my sister, mother and I) were there for a special lunch. So fun and lovely and just all around perfect. We loved it!
Clive is a superb host, and the window table looked out on the Public Garden. Attentive service, excellent breakfast, able to converse freely with a low ambient noise level.
Delightful waiter and view
Absolutely delicious food, but it was expensive for lunch..
The bar area was incredibly noisy.
Birthday dinner. It was lovely
Hardly saw waiter.
Had to get drinks form the bar.
Recommend anywhere else.
Food was amazing.
Service was not great. We saw cleaning products and used cleaning cloth display on decorated chest near our table. It looks unprofessional and not classy. Waiter is not well trained. He didn't care ask how we are doing as well what we need. We had to ask to refill our water. The food was not great especially the chicken pate was raw. The food and service don't fit with the high end hotel like Four Season. The food are over priced.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner as always. We had a prix
We had a fabulous Valentines Day. We plan to go back on our next special occasion.
Fun having lunch here. We sit in the window area. Fun to see what’s going on in the park etc. it was Valentines day. Nothing to honor the day until evening. That was a bit disappointing. Ordered the lunch special 3 course and our waiter neglected to bring th e dessert. We realized it after we left. Shame on us too. But the food was good. (Halibut).
Service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come greet us and ask us if we wanted water. Then waited another 15 minutes for them to bring us a waiter to take our order. Food took another 45 minutes. We were so hungry we finished the bread basket twice and butter. Not the typical service we are used to from the four seasons. It was also not busy or rush hour time for lunch. Don’t know why it was so slow with service.
We were meeting another couple who arrived before us and they had already been seated on our reservation at a window table which we had requested, nice touch. The waiter was friendly, brought two different wines so we could taste and then select. The food, wine and espressos and cappuccinos were all very good and we were allowed all the time we wanted to talk and enjoy the evening. What a great place to enjoy an evening.
Great Service, great food.
The food was very good, not necessarily great. The prices were too great. Very overpriced but people must pay this so they feel the can charge $42 for a fish entree and $22 for an appetizer and the cocktails through the roof. But it's a lovely location and the hotel is top level.
Slow service. Order was wrong and not fresh. Disappointed
Server was very nice...just not particularly attentive. We had to look for him several times.
I was disappointed with the service. I’ve been a customer for many years.
My husband and I dined at dinnertime at the Bristol Restaurant. Initially, the hostess wanted to seat us near the bar. As the bar area was very noisy, we asked to be seated as far from it as possible. The hostess accommodated our request. The food was good, though two of the dishes lacked enough salt, and there was no salt shaker on the table. We appreciated that our request for room temperature water (no ice) was accommodated, and that our water glasses were kept full.
I’ve been to the Bristol a few times before and always had a nice experience. However, on this visit, the service was poor—really poor. I requested no onions on my order and it came with onions, and I couldn’t find my server within a reasonable time to share this information. My friend and I expected superior service. This lunch was a complete let-down.
Bristol Lounge didn’t let us know that the buffet wasn’t available. Kitchen was ill prepared for the volume of off-menu ordering so it took a very long time to get our food. Food taste was mediocre. Not at all the experience we have had in past years. Won’t be gong back anytime soon.
Nice for breakfast or afternoon cocktail. Service was great but food at lunch was 'meh'.
I was disappointed that there was no green salad on the menu.
This has been our go to place for years. Terrific staff and food is consistently fresh and good.
My companion and I were there to celebrate his birthday, a Saturday night, 5 p.m. The food was not quite up to par, especially the appetizers were not the usual quality. Entrees, however, were quite good. As the restaurant filled our very nice waiter simply became a bit overwhelmed, they seemed understaffed. As a result the service was not excellent, as you would hope at this price point. Will try again another time, as our past experiences were much better.
We were celebrating a family birthday with friends. The food, service and ambiance were wonderful.
Quiet, attentive service, and lovely views of the Public Garden and Boston's passers-by. Perfect for business meetings, brunch, or meeting friends.
Excellent service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The couch tables will keep me coming back. The Bristol burger is the best I’ve ever had
Wonderful spot for a special occasion, drink, or meeting for business.
Very nice time. Beautiful dining room. Excellent lunch salads.
The only thing we didn’t love was the cauliflower app, but it was okay.
We came here for NYE. As usual the food and service was excellent. Brought our 3YO and they were great with her. The prices reflect that of a classic Boston hotel restaurant, but the quality is there. My recommendation is the NY strip with a side of wild mushrooms. Hands down one of my favorite meals in the city.
Sunday brunch not to be beat... fresh, delicious and of course four seasons service!
I had lunch with my granddaughter before the theater. She is only 6 but they treated her exceptionally. She has an egg allergy and they were quite accommodating - even cooked her pasta during the afternoon even though it wasn't on the menu. Thank you!
Very good service, ambiance, good. Recommend. Sunday brunch is excellent as well.
This is my 3rd trip to the 4 Seasons Bristol Restaurant. It's pricey, but for a special occasion, or a dinner pre-theater, it's great. Beautiful inside and out (view of park), the bar is set high. On this occasion the biggest disappointment was the bread - totally uninspiring. The butter was delicious but the bread did not measure up. My friend had the crispy duck with figs & I had braised short ribs. Both dinners were very good, with adequate portions. It just wasn't amazing - which is what we expected. We told our server we had theater tickets - she was very good about making sure we stayed on schedule. After the performance, we returned to have a nightcap at the bar. Overall a lovely place, but I think next time, we will look for a different dinner location, where we might have a more inspired meal.
Was there for lunch. It wasn’t crowded. service was good until we got our food; then we never saw our waitress. plates weren’t cleared. I had to ask the host. Finally got check and again waited to actually pay. I expect better from Four Seasons.
