Food was fantastic! Being celiac, I love finding safe places to eat like this. The cheese curds and apple butter were so good. We also had the Brussels sprouts, cod chowder, and burger. All were delicious.

I really appreciate this restaurant. My child has multiple food allergies and it's one of the few places we can eat with them due to how items are prepared in the kitchen.

The service is always pleasant, and I enjoy being able to order with confidence at Capitol Cider (I'm GF), while my guests can still receive food that is delicious to them. Very good cocktail menu too!

I can't wait to go back. The food was so good. I am gluten free and I was so ecited to be able to have my choice of the whole menu. My husband tried mine and we both agreed...best blackberry stuffed french toast ever. Everyone with us enjoyed their meal. I wish I lived closer or I'd eat there every week.

Considerably smaller portions. Staff did not interact. Thankfully I can read small print regarding a 7.5% living wage surcharge fee, other older folks or disabled folks can’t. Why not just increase by said percentage to be transparent?

We walked out. No one came to serve us. We had to ask for another table because it was so tight in the corner it was impossible to sit in without making the table behind us move. They have QR menus, they havn't designed their QR menu for phones so it's super hard to read. Fonts are all over the place, can't get a good look at it. For the price and my old eyes, I'd really like a piece of paper. We would have asked for one if anyone bothered to stop by. As we left we had to climb over the musicians gear to get out the door. Person who seated us was delightful.

We came here the other day and had some decent fish and chips. Thought we’d come back for the brunch and ultimately that was a mistake. For $9 extra you can add chicken to your biscuits and gravy and out comes a credit card sized “piece” of fried chicken cut in 4 slices. Not exactly a value item. The biscuits were hard and had to strain with a knife to cut, and gravy was lacking any sort of seasoning. The food came out cold even though they’d just opened.

Capitol Cider exceeded all expectations! I am a first time visitor to Seattle with Celiac disease. It was heaven to be able to order anything on the menu! I had the fish and chips and cheesecake. I have never had gluten free fried fish so flaky and wonderful! The french fries were perfect too. Service was excellent and ambiance cozy. I highly recommend Capitol to everyone. Those of you who aren't gluten free will never miss a thing!!

My 2nd visit & unfortunately not as good as the 1st Ordered The Simple breakfast with a side of fried chicken thigh, eggs over easy. What was described on the menu is not what I received on my plate. The eggs were super runny, the potatoes looked like hush puppies on my plate. Not one was smashed, almost like the chef was too lazy to smash a potato. The chicken thigh was flattened, didn't even look like a thigh, I believe they use the chicken thighs that are premade for the biscuit and gravy dish. Again, my imagination is going towards a chef, being lazy and using premade thighs instead of making a normal one for a different dish. Our server was also lacking, barely came by the table, took her forever to clear dishes, and bring us supper checks.

Was looking for a place with Gluten free options and this place is 100% Gluten free. The Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts were a really flavorful appetizer- yummy and actually sweet, not bitter. My friend opted for the wild mushroom risotto and I chose the fish and chips. Great options! Happy I made a reservation cause the place was packed by 615p. Wish I liked Ciders because they have a huge selection! Worth the trip.

We have eaten at Capitol Cider many times and have recently noticed their burgers are always cooked very under. This time, we asked for medium and hoped it would come out cooked better. Every bite was bright pink. 2 ciders and 2 burgers came out to nearly $80. Upon entering we noticed a strong bleach smell and the restaurant was freezing. We were jokingly, but also half seriously, using the candles to warm up our hands. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to Capitol Cider.

Made a reservation easily for an 830p table on OpenTable. We were sat as normal, then a server came up to our table and said “kitchen closes in 10 minutes”. Firstly, why accept a reservation at 830 if your kitchen closes at 840? To top it off the server never even shows back up before this ten minute mark we were given. Me and my guest then leave.
