   1. waited 15 min for server to appear 2. Calamari appetizer was cold 3. Tomato sauce watered down 4. They did not have 2 consecutively ordwred bottles of wine. Finally beverage manager appeared with one just in time for dessert 5. Tiramisu disgusting YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER ELSEWHERE

   Quantity over quality here, menu prices make it appear like a nicer restraunt but this is done because portion sizes are insanely large. There were 4 adults in our party and one order of an appetizer and one order of a pasta filled us up with leftovers. Server was very distracted, not knowledgeable of the menu, and brought us the wrong entree and instead of immediately taking it/correcting it she tried to offer us a discount to keep the wrong entree. I would not return here, very loud and casual, so many better options.

   Bread that was given was cold better if it was at least warm or hot also food did take awhile to come out felt like we was almost forgotten at one point.

    The ambiance was good and the services were friendly and courteous. The overall foods were somewhat salty. The clams were hard and appear not fresh.

    I always go to Carmine’s for dinner with my family probably monthly i have always been served with the same quality as I have received for ten years this time my waitress left half way through dinner and we had another waitress she introduced herself to us and never returned. Ever. My wife went to speak to her manager and they were sooooo sorry as always. Soooooo sorry. Food was perfect as always service not so good this time. I hat to see servers bringing multiple dishes of food on top of others but it still occurs. Yuck. My dinner sauce was under my kids platter and so on. Wow all I can say is Carmines has the best food but the servers need to step up. In face we were told they don’t make Apple martinis. What. Maine put servers in the floor who don’t know the menu. I love Carmines 42 st has never let me down. !!!

    Food was amazing and can’t wait to go back. We ordered chicken saltimbocca and the penne ala vodka. We also had the portobello parmigiana soooo good! Drinks were great also.

    Always consistent. Great for large parties and special events. Not good for dinner for two! Been going for years and always a success. Very noisy, very busy and that is part of the experience

    I was extremely disappointed with the poor atmosphere and service. The Resturant was overbearingly hot and uncomfortable. Our waiter was not attentive at all. There where staple items missing. Overall underwhelming and disappointing

    A fantastic evening, the food was out if this world. I have visited the Washington DC, Las Vegas and now New York (91st Street) Carmines and they never disappoint. The portions are huge and taste amazing.

    The food was very good. The portion sizes are huge. However, the bathrooms needed a lot of attention. The waitress appeared to be overwhelmed and wasn't attentive at all. Maybe the service is a lot better during the week days.

    We kove Carmine's. This was the first time that the food was only okay. The calamari was not as good as it always was, the linguini with garlic and oil was instead a pesto, supposed to put parsley not loads of basil. To the management, please watch the quality control in the kitchen. Staff was on point as always. We'll try again some time, hopefully the kitchen staff gets a refresher course.

    False Adversing for the Resturaunt week, it says $45 deal for family style 3 courses but we were charged 90 because it was 2 people but tell me if i went to dinner alone it would be the same amount of food correct? Same amount of food for the deal but only $45 so they should specify $45 per person

    My husband and I dined here for our anniversary...both the food and service were excellent. There was no one at the check-in stand when we arrived however a hostess saw us waiting by the bar and asked if we had checked in...once she did we were seated moments later. Of course we knew going in there would be lots of leftovers as they serve family style - so if you're not looking to take much home be sure to go with a larger group! Our server, Deniz, made great recommendations and graciously helped us capture the moment with a photo which was greatly appreciated!

    The Carbonara special was very tasty, but it was a bit overpriced as it was $40. The atmosphere was great and the service was exceptional. I would definitely go back.

    Our server, Tina, was the best! Always cheerful and upbeat in spite of multiple guests to serve. She took very good care of us all. She made my granddaughter's day by bringing a special birthday dessert.

    Anytime I come to NYC and want outstanding Italian food, Carmine’s is my #1 go-to. And our waitress Tina was excellent! She was friendly, fun and gave us great service.

    We've been coming to Carmines for close to twenty years. We love it. Service was great. New waitress, Tina, was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. One comment was the Caesar salad, which is always amazing, had some lettuce that was a little past it's prime. Calamari is definitely a smaller portion than it used to be...was enough for us, but usually the platter is overflowing with fried calamari :)

    Carmines is back on my favorites list! The food was great and so was the service. I had a bad experience last time I was there, but I decided to give it another chance. I’m glad I did! I’ll be going back!

    Carmine's was SO LOUD at 8 - 9 PM that conversation was near impossible, but as usual, the food was very good! I like the family-style presentation, although I have the impression that there's less on the platter than there used to be (especially the chicken Marsala). Our servers were great! Tiramisu next time; I want to see if it survived COVID.
