I had wine by the glass. Their selection of wines was nice and appropriate. Mushroom ajillo, Jamón Ibérico and stewed beef were delicious enough. They have good Sherry and desert wines also. It's a typical bistro-like restaurant with a dining room that is not very spacious, but it's comfortable enough. It is nice that it is located closely to the station. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I stumbled upon this place while web surfing before our trip to Tokyo and made a reservation on Opentable (which is very convenient because a lot of restaurants in Japan take reservation only by phone) a week ahead. It is about 5 min walk from Ebisu station in a quiet neighbourhood. You have to go up a hill but not for long. There seemed to be good restaurants along the way. Inside, very cozy casual atmosphere. Basically we were the only tourists, the place was packed with local 20~30 somethings. Good list of wine and beverage. Tasty food in reasonable portions. The only let down is that it takes a loooooooooooooong time for a dish to come out as there are only 2 chefs working. People didn't seem to mind this delay as they took their time drinking and talking but we had to take off for another appointment so I would advise you to go here only if you have plenty of time to spare ar night.
