Classic French with Japanese ingredients. Interesting combination of ingredients and good portion. You can choose both a course menu and a la carte. ¥7,500 seasonal course is a bargain. Service is attentive. You can watch chef's cooking over the counter, which is fun and exciting. Good place for date night or small gathering with your foodie friends. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the bread and wine through all 6 courses, the food was inventive, creative and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Recommendation: sit in the counter area and not at a table to see the kitchen/food prep at work. This place will have a Michelin star at some point: it's that good, so go now when it's accessible and reasonably priced. MoreOpenTable Diner -

The restaurant is divided into several private dining areas which makes it an ideal location for an intimate meal or a party. Motsuemon can seat up to 40 guests at a time and is a popular location for celebrations and gatherings.

Kasumicho 301-1 is an upscale Japanese restaurant. The most striking thing about this high-end eatery is the interior. Kasumicho 301-1 takes nature and incorporates it into every aspect. The tables are long, community-style tables that have no straight edges and instead look as though they were cut from a single tree. There is foliage all throughout the dining area, from Bonzai trees to creeping ivy over the walls and ceilings. The food served at Kasumicho 301-1 is classic Japanese fare, with items like large fried shrimp, Ozaki beef filet and an earth pot with rice and pork.
On a rare visit to Tokyo, I set up a date to meet a friend. Although I was over half an hour late, my friend was waiting for me downstairs with a lemon beer. It looked good, but I went with a Kona beer and it did not disappoint. After choosing a petite spinach salad and an adorable plate of heart-shaped mozzarella with baby tomatoes, we were ushered upstairs where we could enjoy a long conversation over an excellent Pinot Noir and a small plate of delectable grilled meat. The best thing about Chef and Butcher is the food, followed by the service, which was attentive yet unobtrusive. However, it was a bit slow that night, perhaps due to a party downstairs. The atmosphere is country charming with outdoor seating available. Besides the small portions for the prices, the only drawback I can see is the lack of barrier-free access. Go here for a date, a party, to entertain friends or just to taste some really tender, juicy meat! All in all, I can highly recommend Chef and Butcher for a stylish yet casual visit to Nishi-Azabu. Really cozy nice restaurant but be aware of their Prefix menu. Will take over 3 hours to complete the meal and the gaps between the dishes are rather long. By the time we got towards the end, we felt full already. There were really pleasant dishes and not so exciting dishes. Considering the location is at the high end district, the price was rather very affordable. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Love this place. Excellent server. Brussel sprouts, oyster mushroom curry soup, chicken shiitake and bbq beef dumplings were Great! Other dishes we had were, yes, of course good, but not special. The space and ambiance-- bar, patio, etc. -- are very appealing, but this is NOT the place for good conversation over a leisurely meal. Noise level is a personal choice, so that shouldn't discourage most people, but it's a major factor for us vintage models. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Spain’s culture and cuisine differs significantly from that of Japan, which is why Fermintxo uses ingredients and preparation methods of traditional Spanish cooking to bring these unique flavors to Tokyo. Just like food prepared in top Spanish restaurants, Fermintxo’s menu utilizes fresh, seasonal ingredients that are representative of the four seasons. An appreciation for nature, sun and soil results in quality vegetables and flavor-packed entrées.
