    Excellent tasting menu. Particularly enjoyed tuna crudo appetizer, scallop course, and beef main. Lemon panna cotta dessert was outstanding.

    We have been to this restaurant many times over the years. This is the first time with the new owners and new chef. So, food was good. Moroccan Lamb dish and a Tagliatelle. Not much selection and not much inspiration. Small portions without any vegetables to even order separately. Two little plates seemed lonely set out on the table for over $100. No amuse bouche , nothing. We would have ordered starters but they didn’t really shine. Surprise extra charge for credit card. The view is fabulous and we were able to sit outside as the sun set and the moon rose. That was wonderful. There are lots of heaters. Our waiter was good as is the rest of the staff.

    Hello, Susan Thank you for joining us yesterday evening, it is great to have you back dining at our restaurant after some time away. Although we haven't changed the size of the portion of the Moroccan Lamb dish or the Tagliatelle Pasta since transitioning ownership, we are sorry to see that you didn't feel the value was there for you. Based on your review you seemed to have enjoyed these two dishes so it is hard to understand the low rating you provided for the food, particularly without trying more of the menu. The credit card fee is listed on both our website and menu, but we are sorry the $1.94 credit card fee came to you as a surprise. We hope that you will join us again and we can guide you through our Chef's menu and our experience further. From the Christy Hill Family.

    Five adults and all so happy with service and dinner was great. We’re able to sit outside and enjoy looking out to the lake.

    We know Christy Hill very well— been eating here for years and years. Food and service are great, and the view is magical. But the prices have crept up quite a bit over the past 2-3 years. $49 for halibut? Seems pretty steep. So … be forewarned: great restaurant, but expensive.

    Honestly, this little jewel of a restaurant was a delightful surprise for our 53rd anniversary celebration! Service, ambiance, view and menu were 5 star. We were so happy to experience this lovely dining we had on September 11, 2024. When we go back to Tahoe City again, you can be sure we will go here again. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary celebration!

    Excellent food. Every dish prepared expertly. Crab agnolotti outstanding. Wine list not as good as we like. Alex the owner stopped by the table which was a nice touch. Plates came out hot. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants.

    Outside on the deck over the lake was magical. There was music coming up from the SandBar. The heat lamps kept us cozy. Much quieter outside and easy to chat than inside. The food and service were great. All perfect for a lovely evening!

    This was honestly a miss for us. We had a 7:30 reservation and weren’t seated until 7:55 or 8. We had requested a table with a view as it was our wedding night, but they weren’t able to accommodate this and instead of telling us, seated us at a small table in the back corner where one of the booths was sunken in so we both had to squeeze on the same side of the small table. FYI - we were told when we left if you want a table with a view you need to book 1-2 months in advance at least, and you should probably call in addition to reserving online, so keep this in mind if the view is important to you. The deviled eggs were decent, but not worth $18 ($9 per egg.) Halibut was well cooked but missing flavor. Tagliatelle pasta was decent, but flavor wasn’t quite on point. Service was not what you would expect for a fine dining restaurant. It just felt like a busy restaurant without the bandwidth to be attentive. The last two portions of the dessert we had our eye on were comped to the two couples next to us - one for a birthday and one for an anniversary. We learned later that this restaurant comps desserts for anniversaries and birthdays only (very understandable) it was just a weird dynamic in this situation. When the hostess learned it was our wedding night we were offered a splash of champagne while we were waiting for our table, but we had to decline for health reasons. Overall, not worth the money for us and we just can’t recommend it, which was surprising to us given the positive reviews.
