I have been to Cibo e Vino before and loved it. This visit was different. I had originlly made a reservation for outside, but when we arrived it was so hot we asked to be seated inside, which we were. It was VERY NOISY and we could not hear or talk, so we asked to be moved outside again. After 15 minutes with no water or waiter, we were moved. It then took another 15 minutes to get water and order a drink. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant...it took forever to get a person to acknowlegde us. In addition, the music was so LOUD we still couldn't hear each other. Once we did get a waitress, things started to be a little better, but service was very pokey, as would be expected with short staffing. The food was very good.

Fabulous! Love the white tablecloths, all the improvements! Now I don’t have to go to east side for elegant lunch! Pretty room , great service ( the service before was very bad and slow ; this is a real change for this restaurant!), and the food was delicious , especially the branzino! A wonderful experience ! So civilized and gracious . Bravo!

Excellent for a special occasion.. great atmosphere and food. Be aware though, if you book through Open Table on a weekend they will try to seat you in the back room by the kitchen. Best to call for a reservation on a weekend and book the beautiful main dining room.

Have eaten here dozens of time as its in my neighborhood but wish it were better. The decor is cozy, tho chairs not so comfy, but its pretty tight quarters. Did not help that we were seated next to a table for 6 including a 3year old who screamed loudly throughout dinner with little parental interference. Our waitress was lovely but service was very slow, (not unusual here ) and had to check on our meals several times (4 pastas, 2 and 2 so not a complicated order) In the meantime, brought the appetizers, 3 orders which we were sharing among 4 people, and did not notice one was something we hadn't ordered until we cut into it. So someone else got our calamari and we had their burrata I guess. No one really checked in to see if everything was ok so we just ate it. By the time we had finally eaten our meals we were ready to get out, so didn't do dessert. The food is fine, cauliflower appetizer generally good, the pastas were fine, and happily the wine list uppricing seems to have moderated slightly, which was a sore point for a long time given they type of restaurant this is---ie not fancy but at same time not cheap. Anyway, since its a block away I'm sure we will be back, but wish they would fix what's wrong with their setup.

The food was delicious. We sat “outside” but it was practically inside. They’ve done a very nice job with their outside seating. My daughter left her purse behind and they called me immediately to let me know they found it. Great service and care for their customers.

A beautiful restaurant, somewhat pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion. The octopus appetizer was tender and tasty, the pastas uniformly excellent.

Food was very good especially the homemade papadelle. Ambiance is great and very romantic. Couple of things that made the visit less than perfect, the wine was bery over priced, $15 bottle was upcharged to $80. The server brought over an electronic credit card reader for payment and stood over me as I punched in the tip making it a little uncomfortable. Will come back for the pasta but have to order a mixed drink next time.

The place itself has a quite nice atmosphere although the tables are tiny. Starters: we ordered the crispy cauliflower and the tuna tartare; the 1st one was fried and filled w oil and presentation-wise not up to par w the rest of the dishes we had; the latter was nicely presented, but missed seasoning Entrees: we had the cappellaci ai funghi and the pan seared duck; the fresh pasta was nicely thin and flavorsome, while the duck perfectly cooked w the fat properly rendered; only less point was that the duck was a bit on the cold side. It would have been nice to wait w the starters until we finished our cocktails (which would have given the waitress the opportunity to sell us wine). In summary, not a bad experience, but not as great as i read in the previous reviews

Restaurant is in a good location. Getting a parking spot is a major issue, even thought there are two parking garages near by. After circling two times, we were able to get a parking spot on Amsterdam and 89th (one block behind the restaurant) Our sitting request was outside. So, we sat outside. The ambience was ok, it was noisy. I cannot complain much about it, since everyone wants to talk so much these days, especially after covid. At times, I was smelling weed. Surely, it is from people who are walking on the curb. Drinks, Appetizers and Entrée were excellent. Penne alla Vodka was awesome. Prices may be on high side for the quantity served. Will I visit? For Sure, at least I know the food would be great!! - Guests from Delaware and Louisiana

A group of my cousins came for a birthday dinner for my sister and it was a wonderful dining experience. Everyone loved their food and the service was excellent as well as the outdoor patio being beautiful. We were a large group of 11 people and the restaurant was very accommodating and did not rush us at all. I will definitely be back.

The service and ambiance were wonderful. It had a great atmosphere and was almost completely full. Fun music playing. The food was also delicious except for the bread (some pieces were stale). We had the sweet potato tortellini and the penne a la vodka. The wine was also good. Overall wonderful dining experience.

We were celebrating my friend Pratt’s 20th Birthday and my fiend Dr. Tanya Shankar’s 2nd year of residency. We loved the toasted cauliflower and Buratta cheese appetizers. I loved the Chicken Milanese. My friends enjoyed their Pasta and Salmon entrees! We loved the desserts too! The Tiramisu was so delicious! Lovely waitress and wait staff. The female hostess greeted me and took me to a table right away. The ambiance was very warm and inviting.
