Donna was a very great server. We had my Grandma’s 85th birthday dinner and it was a delicious meal for all!
We hadn't been to Crooners for a while. It used to be fantastic. It has gone down in service and food quality. It's very expensive for the quality of the food. I felt very rushed and wasnt able to sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. This place used to be where we would bring out of town guests. I don't think we will be back.
I expected more quality for the price of the food. While definitely an upscale supper club, it was not nearly as good as I expected.
The food was not quite warm when it was delivered to the table. The wait staff was not very attentive. I was disappointed as I had not had that experience other times I had dined there. I had to ask the servers to remove dirty plates from the table. I didn't think the server was very knowledgeable.
We recommend having dinner in the lounge / dining room before a show. You need to be quiet during the show and eating is distracting. Our server was wonderful - very attentive. We stayed after the show and sat in the lounge for additional music. Love Crooners!
Mother's day 2018. The fixed menu was a bit pricey and a couple of entrees were on the cool side. Lots of food though!
During the meal the next live music act set up for their set and rehearsed a bit. A bit disruptive, but good jazz.
We have been to Crooner’s for Mother’s Day brunch buffet the last few years and loved it. This year Crooner’s had a three course meal for the Mother’s Day meal. My family did not enjoy the food, the service, or the overall experience this year. I was celebrating my first Mother’s Day with my son and with my entire family and we were wholeheartedly disappointed; we will not be going back. No one finished any course as all of the offerings were terrible and all courses closely resembled the other courses.
Went there for Mother’s Day. Instead of a brunch buffet, they had a 3-course uninspiring menu. The food was mediocre at best. They did have live music but it was too loud and conversations were difficult to hear. Service was poor and it was a challenge getting the servers attention for missing place setting pieces, more water, etc. The pricing was too high for the food quality and service. Maybe this place is good for happy hour or their live music at night, but it’s not where to go for a good meal. It’s too bad because I really wanted to like this place.
Was not very impressed in your menu selection at all. Was hoping for Lobster or seafood and you don't serve it. Server hardly ever came to table so we felt pushed on giving 20% . We will never be coming again
Probably the best risotto in town and when you add shrimp what a meal! I wasn't sure why when I made the reservations it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion which we were. I thought maybe a complimentary dessert would be coming:(
Went there for a wedding anniversary. Had the Divers Scallops and the Stead Diane (with various accompaniments) and it was all very good. We were seated with a view of the lake, which was nice despite being too early in the spring to be at its most attractive.
A friend recommended this place. My husband had a great time. The food was good and the staff friendly.
Really nice place. Great live music, service and food was excellent.
Good value ,nice staff, good music venue and nice sound
Food is unimaginitive, bland plus cheapest butter it tasted like Crisco. Food came out only Luke warm. Never returning for the food...maybe the entertainment.
We have labeled Crooner's one of our favorite "special " places!
Saw a great show and were able to easily visit with friends, quiet and fun! Will definitely be back
First time there and had great live music. Both performers we're fantastic, food was good, we'll be back!
Easter Brunch-horrible service, long wait for water food and drinks!
We were greeted and seating fairly close to our reservation time. The set food options provided a good variety of choices for each of the three courses, but the service was extremely slow. Our meal took over two hours. The spinach salad was very good, but contained mostly mixed greens and very little spinach. The garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic flavor. The Cornish hen was disappointing and was missing the listed sweet potatoes. The only vegetable listed was asparagus and that is the one vegetable my husband does not eat. The best course was dessert.
I have eaten here before and it was good, but the Easter Brunch could not be recommended.
Our family went to Crooners for Easter Brunch. We chose the restaurant because of the close proximity to our home, the always great live music and advertised menu for the Easter Brunch.
The 3 course meal options were amazing, the food was excellent, the wait staff was attentive, friendly and tried to stay on top of the large amount of orders all at once.
The problem is that the kitchen staff just couldn't keep up with the orders which caused a really long wait for the food to arrive. I don't believe this is the case on a regular dinner night, but was a major disappointment for our Easter Brunch. The 5 of us got out of there in 2.5 hours. Luckily we were having a great time as a family and understood the situation and made the best of it. Other customers were not so understanding and management received multiple complaints. We would give Crooners another try for a dinner on a regular night, but likely not going to try the Brunch again due to the lengthy wait for the food.
The service was terrible. It took 45 minutes to get our salads. It was an Easter dinner and they were busy but not packed. Very disappointing. I have been there many times for dinner this was the first time I took the whole family. Never again
We went for Easter Brunch and they were completely overwhelmed. We didn't get seated until a half hour after our reservation. The kitchen was very backed up so our food took forever (even with a limited menu). The food itself was good and the ambience was very nice with live entertainment.
We had reservations for 3 for Easter brunch, and when we arrived it seemed very chaotic, which I thought ok because it’s Easter. We got sat down but only after I asked again once we were checked in, and waited a few minutes to be served our drinks. The part was bad is it was a three course meal, we still didn’t have our first course after an hour and a half. After looking around there seemed to be people getting upset, as they were waiting a long time in between their courses. There were only a few select items for each course, so the food shouldn’t have been a problem. Our waitress finally came over and said she would check what was going on, and it was still a few minutes no food. So we left. We will not be back.
Went here for first time for Easter brunch food and music was wonderful service however was horrid. We arrived at 12:30 and as long as the band was on the stage we weren't to disappointed with how slow the service was but after 2:00 when the band was done we were still waiting on our desert. Several other tables had been there for an hour and still hadn't received their food yet. At 2:30 we finally asked for the desert to go and our check right away. Not sure if the service is always like that but not sure we will be back because of it.
We've regularly gone to Crooner's for dinner and enjoyed their live entertainment. The food has always been amazing. Sadly, I have to give them 1 star for Easter brunch. We made reservations and arrived on time with a party of 5. Not all that busy. The menu was a set menu with a starter, an entrée and a choice of dessert. For each category there were 5 choices. You would think this would make it easy for the kitchen. Drink specials were $5 mimosa or $6 bloody Mary. Not a special price in my opinion. We opted to order our first meal rather than place an order for each meal thinking it wouldn't be a problem. Surely the waitress would have made it a recommendation if it were an issue. Big mistake. In a nutshell, we arrived at 12:15 and didn't get out of there until 3:00! Even the drinks took forever. Many people sat waiting to be served. Some left without getting to the dessert. I hope they got it to go because at $30 PP it wasn't cheap. Fast forward to a tab of $222 for 5 people, 3 hours that we'll never get back and a waitress who has no business being in front of people. Not a good experience. Would not go back for this type of event again.
What a wonderful atmosphere. Was looking for a traditional supper club with the relish tray and garlic toast. That would have made it even better. Not crazy about getting charged for a bread basket, but the bread was excellent. We enjoyed our meals and will be back again.
The Waitress wasn't able to process the 100$ gift card we had gotten. Not the end of the world but it hasn't been take care of yet and at this point I have no reason to believe it will be.
Crooners was great! First visit, and will be back for Easter.
Wonderful, grown up place for a good meal, wonderful music and not the hassle of dealing with downtown.
Also, wonderful that the food, drinks and entertainment are reasonable priced!
We will be going back soon!
The music was awesome! Jennifer Grimm is entertaining and has a fabulous voice, sax and guitarist were wonderful. We stumbled into this without knowing we would be entertained as well as having dinner. Food and drinks were good. Excellent value with the entertainment!
Met a friend here for an early dinner. The music was great. Excellent piano player who didn't really interfere with out conversation but added to the enjoyment of the evening. Food was very good and filling. I had been hungry for a hamburger and this one was excellent.
This was my third visit to Crooner's. They always have two or more solid dinner specials - I had the fish & chips. Excellent!. Enjoyed drinks and music of Willie Murphy in the lounge. Iconic Blues/R&B! A memorable night with my sister on her birthday.
wonderful gathering with friends for a birthday. The reason to go to Crooners is LIVE MUSIC. Nice atmosphere. Great sound system (not too loud or distorted). We had wonderful service. Food okay.
I come every time you have Butch Thompson performing at the piano we are so blessed to have such a person in our midst
All good as far as reservations go. I was disappointed when we got there because we were greeted immediately and courteously, but were walked along the live music room, through a hall, around another corner, and placed in a room with no music playing but had the faintest playing of the live music over the speakers. Menu was easily understood, but different than the online menu (could just be the seasonal changes). Waitress (Abbey) was very friendly and attentive and kept water filled almost entire night. Food service was quick, we were given a decent amount of privacy, the food was delicious (I got the salmon and seasonal vegetables). Tab was slightly above what I would have expected because the experience felt like 3-4 stars, but felt like I was paying for 4-5, and didn't even get offered a chance to hear or view the live music.
Suggestion: ask quests if they would like to sit nearer to the live music so they can at least hear it because the "overflow" room has it so faintly on the speakers they were better off not having the music on at all.
Great food and service, will definitely come back!
Always good food and friendly staff.
On occasion the lounge might be understaffed, due to a busier night than expected, so the service is slower than typical, but generally a favorite place for us!
We loved the music & food. Only gripe is the confusing method of reservation. Thought we needed 2 separate ones for show & dinner. When we were served in music room our Open Table reservation was not checked off. The couple we were with had same confusion
Food wasn't great, took 15 minutes for our server to stop at our table took an additional hour for our food to come out. The bar was great but the regular dining I wouldn't recommend.
