    This was a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed aboard the Countess of York by a staffmember of the York-National Railway Museum. We were the only ones booked into that slot which meant we had the carriage to ourselves. The tables were layed out beautifully with soft linnen and silverware. The lady served us several teas in elegant teapots and the Afternoon Tea itsself was delicious. It included scones with jam and clotted cream, fingersandwiches, small quiche and vegetable muffins as well as sweet cakes, maccarons and more. All of a very high quality. There was soft instrumental music playing in the background and we had a lovely romantic hour and a half there to celebrate our two year anniversary. Well worth it!

    Had afternoon tea with a friend and the service was exceptional . The garden room is a lovely space to spend a little time caching up. I highly recommend the Milner for afternoon tea.
