Best American Restaurants in Chester, New Jersey

We visited Ladd’s Tavern to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The service from Michael, the quality and freshness of the food, and the gorgeous atmosphere was spectacular. We will definitely be back. Five stars all around!

Very nice, better wine choices, excellent food. Service was confused as to who was serving our table.

Wait staff was incredibly attentive. We sat inside surrounded by windows, which was lovely. Lobster bisque was fantastic with microgreens to give it an extra something. Tuna Poke Bowl was generous and fresh. Hugo spritz highly recommended - refreshing summertime drink with cucumber, elderflower liqueur and prosecco. The fresh baked bread was flavorful and a great accompaniment to my bisque. My dining companion had the beet salad on crusty bread - beautiful presentation. I had a decaf cappuccino that could have used more cinnamon. Complimentary glass of Cava because we were celebrating my friend’s birthday. All in all a wonderful experience.

We went to 90 acres to celebrate with friends. Overall it was great. Attentive and friendly service, tasty food and some great drinks. The strangest things was that early on in our meal the couple at the table next to us chose to FaceTime with someone on speaker?? The staff were aware, but nothing happened. I finally brought it to the attention of our waiter, noting that I found it unusual and surprising that this FaceTime speaker situation was happening. He left and when he returned noted that the manager was aware and the speaker conversation was now over. The strangest thing was that the FaceTime stopped because the couples main course arrived. No one from the restaurant asked them to stop. It was purely a coincidence. As you might expect, I’m still surprised that a 10+ minute FaceTime conversation would happen in a restaurant like 90 Acres. Perhaps my expectations of what constitutes appropriate behavior are outdated. I really hope not.

Lovely brunch with friends. Wait staff super friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, the biscuits came out hot and are to die for. Can't wait to go again!
