- WWylieSeattle / Eastern Washington •6 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 15, 2026We went for the Valentine’s prix fixe and it was a delightful way to spend our holiday. We were seated right away, about 10 minutes before our reservation. The tables were spaced far enough apart for it to feel extemely intimate. With the white walls and bright bar lights, I was concerned it would feel bright and sterile and not intimate, but the lights over the tables served just the right balance so it didn’t feel clinical. My partner commented that she wished the beets in the beet tartare were mashed, but I enjoyed it. My salad had a delightful dressing and honestly one of the best chèvre’s I’ve ever had. The server suggested I order my steak medium rare instead of rare due to the cut, and I am glad I went with her reservation. It was flavorful, juicy, and tender. My partner had the cod and said it was one of the best sears she’s seen on a fish, with moisture maintained so the fish didn’t get dry. The lava cake my partner ordered was the best temperature for diving in, and the chocolate was very dark, which was a nice surprise. I had the panna cotta and it did not disappoint. I love a creamy dessert. The only downside of the night was the wine pairings. The pairings themselves were perfect, but the beverage manager frequently just forgot about us. Our glasses were laid out for the pairing for the amuse bouche and starters, but they sat empty until the server went to take them away, at which point we regretfully had to mention that they had never been filled. She did fill them. He appeared before the main course, at least, but perhaps far too early. And then we had to track someone down for the sherry, as our desserts arrived but it never did. Wanting to avoid a repeat of the starter, the server, Theresa, brought our sherry as well. She was extremely attentive so I’m sorry she had to do additional work. All in all, the food and Theresa’s service save the day on this one, so they still get 4 out of 5 stars.More infoCurrant Bistro$$$$• Bistro• Belltown / Pike Place Market•4.3
