Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Ocean Beach

The server and all the back waiters/bussers were so attentive. They constantly checked in and offered water when we were low, cleared plates at a perfect pace and the food was absolutely delightful. We could not believe the flavors we were tasting with every plate, explosions of beautiful combinations of flavors. It was a night to remember! Thank you everyone 😘

The food and service were both excellent. Many of the dishes are shareable (recommended), which helps with the cost. We shared the jalapeño Caesar and bread and had a pasta dish and the wagyu Salisbury steak. Everything was excellent and the retro decor was nice as well.

ChatGPT helped me find this place. Almost skipped it due to us needing a kid friendly, but still nice place. Turned out to be the best all around for our needs: menu we could work for kids (didn’t see a kid menu online, but bonus points - they had one + paper for coloring!), ocean views, somewhat upscale (we weren’t looking for a fish shack), and seafood. This place checked all the boxes. It was a bit cold the night we went, with wind, so they graciously let us move inside the doors (but doors still open, and gave us blankets.) it was the perfect ambience for a date night - food and drink were 5 out of 5. The kid menu was a bonus we didn’t know was available and portions were massive - not sure any of our kids finished their food (which doesn’t happen often.) super close walk to ice cream and the pier for a sunset view. 100% coming back when in the area!

Great food and beautiful setting. Server was great and answered all our questions. She came back to check if I was okay with a modification in my drink order. Great place.

We ordered all small plates to share and each dish was outstanding in presentation and flavor. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and didn’t rush us. He brought out each dish at separate intervals so we could enjoy the dish without being overwhelmed. The cocktails were delicious as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!
