Sylvain is an unruly Southern bistro for locals near Jackson Square in the French Quarter with inspired cocktails that riff on the classics. Here, we laugh loudly, shoot whiskey, and linger among friends old and new. Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome! Feel free to give us a call if you are unable to book online for your desired time. For parties of 13+ please reach out through the events tab on our website. Sylvain's courtyard is weather-dependent. We don't book it ahead of time because we never know what the New Orleans weather will do! However, if you make a note in your reservation that you would prefer outdoor dining, we will do our best to accommodate day-of depending on the weather and the availability of the courtyard. Sylvain's bar operates on a "First Come First Served" basis and we do not take reservations for the bar. However, please let the host know on arrival if you would prefer to dine at the bar.

Eat at the bar. Our bar tender Craig was great as were the people that sat next to us. A lot of energy and fun. Food was outstanding and Craig fixed the perfect dirty martini. Will go back on our return to Nola.

Food was delicious! Had the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. The sausage add onto the grits were definitely worth it! The waffles were so good! Portions are large! Also had bottomless mimosas. Service was good and attentive. We did feel like our server rushed us a bit though. We were barely an hour into our meal before she came and asked if we needed boxes and brought the check. They were not that busy. Overall still a good experience. Would definitely come back.
