Best Contemporary German Restaurants in Wilhelmstadt

A wonderful dining experience at Lovis last evening. We shared three of the entrees, Mushroom Wellington, Roasted Guinea Fowl and the aged Entrecôte ~ all flavours were exquisite and well presented. We enjoyed 4 different wine pairings with the assistance of our lovely server who was extremely helpful and professional…all made for a lovely relaxed evening and finale to our stay in Berlin . Great service, great food - would highly recommend

What a find on a quiet pre-XMAS Sunday night. The bar had more people than the restaurant- so we had a nice quiet meal basically with the kitchen and server to ourselves. What was amazing about this small but creative menu, there are new takes on old traditional dishes. Loved everyone of them that our party of 4 tried (we are sharing, social eaters). The wine list was extensive and covered a lot of areas and grapes that you would expect. The desserts were also flavorful, creative, and potentially too large! The decor and design were spot on and the history of the building fascinating. I will be back!

Great first night experience in Berlin. I chose it for its authentic feel and it didn’t disappoint. Great welcome and our server was great all evening. The food was really good and well presented and atmosphere excellent. Very tucked away so a bit of a hidden gem. Highly recommend if in Berlin. Walking distance of Hauptbahnhof

Limited menu, very well cooked and presented. Fabulous staff. Robin served us. He even arranged for my friend to have the hotel half board special, although we weren’t hotel guests. Thanks to Phillip in the kitchen too. Best place on upper Chaussestrasse.
