I discovered this restaurant through my Chase Sapphire benefits in partnership with OpenTable. I originally booked one of our customary Friday date nights about three months ago, but when the restaurant needed to push back our reservation on the day of, we decided to reschedule for this past Friday.
After a little trouble finding parking and the restaurant itself, we arrived and were immediately impressed by the warm hospitality. The staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating, even offering to store our belongings so we could enjoy the meal more comfortably.
The menu is intentionally small, with only a few appetizers and entrées, which gave us confidence that every dish would be carefully executed. We shared the Steak Tartare and Wonton in Brodo to start, and both were outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully presented.
For our main course, we shared the Charred Wagyu Picanha and the Koshihikari Rice. While the Wagyu was flavorful and visually appealing, it was slightly tougher than expected. The true highlight of the evening, however, was the rice. It was hands down the best rice dish we have ever had. The presentation was stunning, the flavor was incredible, and the portion was generous enough to share. Next time, we'll definitely order it again, perhaps alongside the King Salmon.
Overall, we had a fantastic evening and will absolutely be adding this restaurant to our regular Friday night rotation. The only thing I would improve is the music selection, which felt a bit out of sync with the otherwise refined dining experience. Other than that, it was an excellent night from start to finish.
