    2nd time eating here and the food and service continues to be top notch. The flavors are very authentic. This time we had the steak frites (seasoned perfectly), lobster Mac and cheese (my wife enjoyed as it's a favorite of hers), and what I would call a deconstructed French onion soup with short rib (my wife REALLY loved this). We also had tuna tartare and a special stone fruit salad sans goat cheese (both also great). Do frequent this restaurant! Having French food so close by is a great treat.

    One of the better local restaurants on Long Island South Shore in Rockville Center. Happening bar scene, professional wait staff, friendly service, innovative cuisine.  Overall a very good value for the money. Worth the trip if you like French inspired/American cuisine.

    Went for drinks/apps as a 1st date. It was jazz night so the live band on 2nd floor was a treat. Real candles on the table. Romantic and sultry atmosphere. Shoutout to Steph the waitress extraordinaire. Overall great night at the James
