After a very hot walk on the Forest Way it was good for the walking group to have lunch in the cool of the Hatch Inn. The pub was very busy so we had to wait a time for the food but we were not that concerned. Everyone enjoyed their food and the menu had a very good selection to choose from. Service was very good by the two waitresses in a very busy environment.

We enjoyed an amazing meal on Saturday evening - seldom prone to superlatives Maggie described her sea trout as the best ever she’s ever tasted and my pork main was very special too. Lee and his team prepare some wonderful food combinations and present them beautifully, and also congratulations too to Mary-Jane and her team for their excellent and relaxing service. It’s not just about the main courses though - the amuse bouche was superb, the starters of Orkney scallops for me and the smoked haddock risotto for Maggie were delicious too. All in all a special evening!
