The service was a little spotty but not enough to ruin the meal.More infoGyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ - White Plains, NY | Main Street$$$$• Japanese• White Plains•4.7

- JJaneGoldNew York City •19 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoDinner for 5 last night. We decided to eat "family style," since we knew the meal would be rich and a lot of food. Started with drinks, popovers/corn bread and (a must have) clothesline maple bacon. The drinks were healthy pours, the "bread plate" should have included regular bread for those who do not like sweet cornbread or popovers with a savory topping (reminded me of an everything bagel topping.) For our mains, we shared an excellent Tomahawk steak - perfectly done, tender, juicy. We picked 3 sides - maple glazed brussel spouts, broccoli & mashed potatoes. The sides were good, but not special. In addition we ordered a number of special sushi rolls and the nigiri special. The sushi was surprisingly good and fresh. It went well with the steak. Who knew? Lastly, we shared the donuts & macarons, but I did not partake since I usually skip dessert. Those that did seemed to enjoy them. Lastly, I would like to add that the service was excellent and the theatrical presentation was a hoot. I did enjoy that excitement. Plan on about $100 per person with one drink.More infoRed Horse by David Burke White Plains$$$$• American• White Plains•4.3
