Best Japanese Speciality Restaurants in Edgewater, Chicago / Illinois

The best steak anywhere it’s my favorite steak restaurant, the staff is always so welcoming and servers are all so great and knowledgeable beyond the normal expectations. They go above and beyond for special occasions and you can take home a custom printed menu plus their in-house spun cotton candy they decorate as a bonus celebratory treat is unique and delicious, the ambience always feels sophisticated but warm, lighting romantic. Would recommend to anyone to go for a special date night out, birthday or anniversary if you love steak.

The food was amazing - great for a duo or a group of people to share a few things from each section. The flavors and portions were perfection. The Wagyu Robata was insanely tender - you cannot pass that up. We tried each hand roll and the Short Rib Robata - I’d order it all again. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly- truly top notch. We happened to come in on a comedy night, which was incredibly fun and had great audience participation with all 3 main comedians. Loved it. We heard they were planning to incorporate more sushi in the menu offerings, so I’ll be going back for that and a night of karaoke! Would do again 100%.

My daughter wanted Omakase for her 18th birthday, and after some research I settled on AJI and I chose WELL!! It was an amazing evening for the 4 of us from start to finish. The restaurant has an intimate, warm vibe...like a small dinner party in someone's home. The Omakase is 15 courses and each course was outstanding! The drinks menu has delicious cocktails (and Sake), expertly mixed...we tried a few. Kristian and his staff are very warm, welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. They explain each course in great detail and welcome questions about the ingredients etc. Kristian is very helpful and responded timely to my questions prior to our reservation. I cannot say enough good things about Kristian, the staff and our dining experience. Highly Recommend!!

Sushi 100/10 it was amazing! I will definitely be returning, I’m so happy this spot opened up in Logan square!!!
