Best Malaysian Restaurants in East Melbourne

This was our fourth visit to Ho Liao and once again did not disappoint. The staff are super friendly and efficient, and the meal was to die for. The restaurant has a very happy and friendly vibe. We will definitely return. Thanks for making our evening memorable.

My wife and I attended an excellent MFWF Canton(ese) Malaysian dinner at Ho Jiak on the night of Thurs 26/3. The 10 dishes served plus 2 more desserts were overwhelming in quantity but all done to a high standard - showing off their interpretations of many SEAsian dishes. Our faves were the roast dry aged Duck, triple cooked Angus short ribs, Chiuchow Raw & Marinated seafood Selection. The table service (largely by Caleb) was thoughtful and impeccable too. We had a great experience at Merchant society. The staff were welcoming and the service was very good. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed some of their great cocktails as well. Would definitely come again.
