Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Narragansett

Wonderful experience here yesterday. Loved the charcuterie board and our waiter gave excellent service. Was recommended by my daughter and so glad we came!! Will definitely return sometime this summer!

Dinner at Celeste was wonderful from start to finish! The hostess was able to accommodate our request for a quieter table away from the bar. The wine list was many steps above the usual choices and we were able to find a delicious bottle. The food was great. We had the charred octopus appetizer and entrees of whole roasted fish and bouillabaisse. Everything was delicious. Our server, Lindsay, was great, as were other staff with whom we interacted. Service was very well paced. Highly recommended!

My husband and I went to Newport this week for my birthday and stayed at The Gardiner House’s sister property, The Francis Malbone House. Flora came highly recommended and we went there for my birthday last night on May 27th. Flora is every bit as wonderful as we were told and they treated us so well! They gave us a beautiful table on the deck with amazing views of the bay and served us one of the best dinners we’ve ever had! They made my birthday so special and I highly recommend this amazing restaurant - 5 stars!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Tavern By the Sea. We chose the waterfront location to celebrate a birthday but the weather was uncooperatively cold and rainy. We were offered an indoor table which we appreciated (and decided to take.) Outdoor tables were either under an awning or an umbrella and also had heaters nearby. There were many favorites to choose from on the menu and the specials were also very tempting. Although we came to the restaurant with an order already in mind (mussels and Chicken Marsala,) many options were considered as we enjoyed our drinks. I highly recommend the Periwinkle Margarita, which was so pretty and very tasty. We began our meal with a cup of lobster bisque. The bisque had a velvety, luscious texture. Next, the pan-seared scallops were fresh-tasting and cooked to perfection.The scallops were served over a rich, creamy risotto. The Scrod Newburg was exquisitely indulgent. Served in a porcelain boat, with a sumptuous sauce, this dish was the perfect comfort on a cold, rainy night. When I heard the veggie side was zucchini and squash, I thought it would be mediocre, but it was in fact a vegetable medley with carrots and onions that had some crunchy texture and savory flavor. The veggie side and mashed potatoes were a great complement for the scrod. Our entrees were good-sized portions, so by the time we ordered dessert, we opted to bring the desserts home. The chocolate chip cookie lava cake was decadent and came with ice cream. The salted caramel vanilla crunch cake had layers of spongy vanilla cake and pockets of crunchy bits with a salted caramel topping. Both desserts were very yummy and were packed with care to survive the trek home. We definitely plan on visiting Tavern by the Sea again this summer when the weather is warm and sunny to sit outside!
