A sherwal is a traditional, multi-layered baggy men’s trousers worn in various areas of the Mediterranean. Centuries old, it is a rare sight nowadays, except in remote villages and at traditional cultural ceremonies and, well, at our restaurant. Why name our restaurant after an archaic pants? Because, somehow, this pair of comfortable pants has found its way into our modern world, with little tweaks here and there taking the form of harem pants or baggy jeans, fusing the old with the new. And this is what we want to do. We want to take old culinary masterpieces from the Mediterranean and fuse them together, with new flavours here and there, adding new colours and new tastes to the table.

    Fabulous meal here at Eat Lebanese Cronulla. Fresh authentic Lebanese food with generous portions and great flavour. The grilled meats were tender, the dips delicious and everything felt homemade and well prepared. Friendly service and a relaxed lively atmosphere make it a great spot for sharing plates with friends. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

    My partner and I tried Cafe Del Mar Sydney for the first time, and while we were hoping for a sunset view over the water, it was pouring rain… however, the dinner didn’t disappoint. We started with glasses of Cab Sauv and the à la carte menu of tapas. The salmon tartare was the highlight of our dinner! Great flavors and super fresh fish. We followed that with the chorizo, potatoes, and wagyu beef skewers. Unfortunately our wagyu beef was overcooked, but the bites with the pesto and onion and pepper were nice. Overall ambiance was good; the service excellent, and it was a good dinner. We’ll be back for better weather and that sunset dinner!
