A small 500-year-old traditional village pub owned by the Hannah family. A pub of yesteryear, it is a true little gem.A Free House, situated in the beautiful village of Raskelf, North Yorkshire (just off the A19 north of York). The pub dates back to the 16th century with its structure boasting ships timber brought up the river Ouse from Hull. The local cask ales are Theakston's Best, Timothy Taylor's Landlord & Hambleton brewery Stud Blonde (gluten free), The Sunday roasts are to die for with produce locally soured, some direct by the farmers that frequent the pub. We are a family run pub located in the village of Woodlesford just 6 miles south-east of Leeds city centre and is a stop off and refreshment point on the central section of the trans Pennine trail. Welcoming walkers and locals alike. We are also dog friendly. Newley refurbished the pub still retains its charm and character and the first thing you will notice when you arrive is a warm and family friendly atmosphere and our staff are only to happy to serve you. We enjoyed dinner there and breakfast the next morning - both were excellent. The dinner menu is not overly long, but what they do, they do well. Nice selection of beers on top and a serviceable wine list. The owner and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. A proper country pub & inn in the old tradition - great to see some of them still exist !
