Best Seafood Restaurants in Swarthmore

We went to Barclay Prime for our anniversary and enjoyed ourselves. Very nice ambiance and the food and drinks were incredible.

This was a Bucket List item fulfilled, dining here. EVERYTHING about The Saloon fulfilled my imagination from start to finish. Old timey ambience, the food and the staff. There were six of us and it was just an incredible experience here. If dining on a weekend, plan to make you reservations well ahead of time. Our party of six enjoyed everything from apps to desserts. I enjoyed a nice $12.00 glass of a cabernet, so The Saloon doesn't necessarily beat you over the head with drink prices, although the sky is the limit. Do yourself a favor for that special occasion and make it a date at The Saloon. As an added bonus they have two free parking lots with validation within a couple hundred feet from the restaurant. It'll just cost you a tip for the attendant.

Went to Maris for dinner and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive, friendly and helpful. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. The menu offerings were diverse. I ordered lamb chops. The chops were cooked to perfection and delicious. All of the food we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend Maris.

Didn't think it would be possible to love a restaurant more than I love Mawn (which is a lot) but here we are! My husband and I were obsessed with everything we ordered and left the restaurant brainstorming when we'll try to get a resy again. Here's what we ordered for 2 people: - 2x oysters each - papaya salad (they had a special for a less spicy version of the papaya salad, which def has a little heat!) - soft shell shrimp (a favorite from Mawn that we couldn't say no to) - Hamachi crudo - it was hard to pick one crudo but the coconut based sauce is what drew me in - hoe cake - insanely good and absolutely worth the hype. Perfect blend of savory and sweet. - whole fish - the special of the night, we're both suckers for a fried fish and we're so happy we got this before it ran out! We were absolutely stuffed when we left but I can't imagine not ordering any of the dishes we chose. Our waiter was thoroughly impressed with the amount of food we finished so maybe stick to 2 dishes per person!

Ruth was great! Very helpful in securing table and seeing that our evening was enjoyable.
