Best Sushi Restaurants in Akihabara

Dined here on a combination 30 year anniversary and daughter’s college graduation bucket list trip. The service was exceptional (thanks Sai), the food was amazing and the sake was the perfect pairing. First time trying Kobe beef and it did not disappoint. It was nice having a private dining space. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I visited Sushi Fukuzuka during our trip from Puerto Rico to celebrate our anniversary, and it has already become the best meal of our two-week journey through Japan. From the moment we walked in, the Chef and his team made us feel genuinely welcome. Even with the language barrier, everyone was incredibly polite, warm, and extremely amicable throughout the entire evening. You could feel the care and hospitality in every interaction. One detail that meant a lot to us was how graciously the chef adjusted the sushi portions for my wife when she asked for smaller pieces. It was handled so naturally and kindly, and it made the experience feel even more personal and thoughtful. The omakase itself was outstanding from start to finish. Every piece tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, with so much attention to detail in the rice, temperature, and preparation. The meal felt calm and intimate rather than formal or intimidating, which we really appreciated. To top it all off, there is a small surprise gift at the end of the experience that we found incredibly thoughtful and memorable. It was such a beautiful final touch to an already special evening and anniversary celebration. Beyond the quality of the sushi, what we will remember most is how welcomed we felt there. Thank you to the Chef and his crew for such a wonderful experience. We would gladly return the next time we are in Tokyo.

The chef was outstanding, explaining each dishes and he was very personable. And also fish he was serving were all fresh.

This place was recommended by the chef of another yakitori restaurant which was not open while we were in Tokyo visiting. And it did not disappoint. It’s in the basement level of a building and very lively from the moment you enter. The mood is convivial, a nice change from some of the upscale sushi places. We had the basic set course menu which was plenty of food. Everything was tasty and it was fun to try all the different parts of a chicken. Would recommend to anyone!
