    A wonderful dining experience for our 30th wedding anniversary. Service from Jen was fantastic. Friendly, great suggestions on food and wine and she (and all of the staff) made our evening so memorable. We tried both of their Happy Hour bruschetta varieties and they were fabulous. We had the Fork & Knife Gem Salad - so good and the outstanding Fusilli with seafood. Everything is so shareable and the flavors are amazing. The tiramisu is top notch! Get here early, enjoy a couple of the Happy Hour appetizers/wine and enjoy a lovely experience.

    Wow! Spectacular! This was a whole complete capital V-vibe. I was in need of some healing energy with community. This is the place. It was warm, cozy, and buzzing. I was happy to be close to the DJ and realized it would be hard to do any conversing but maybe I needed to just take in the lovely space. Black art, Black expression, Black Love. Lastly, the food was so appetising. I look forward to returning to absorb more of the balm so freely available. (Too busy getting all my needs met I forgot to photo the food and drinks)

    What a wonderful, surprise! We had gone to the theater for our anniversary, and needed a place close by to dine that was available for seating at 10:00. State and Lake came up in our search, menu looked good, and we'd have a enough time to dine before they would close. From the moment we entered, we were treated like we were their most important guests! If I could give 10 stars for our server, Troy, I would! He made the experience - he was informative, personable, professional and just a pleasure to deal with throughout! Kudos for not rushing us, and in fact telling us to take our time and enjoy the experience. An all around great evening!
