Fare Play is a pop-up restaurant created by Chef Brenden Blaine Darby, a San Fanfrisco chef, farmer, and artist with a diverse background of culinary collaborations with NOMA, Manresa, Martin Berasategui, and Yoshi's SF. The menu of Fare Play is inspired by Brenden's grandmothers while also showcasing hyper-local and their time working at Michelin-starred restaurants as well as jungles, deserts, and regenerative farms across the globe.

Our atmosphere strives to be a new third place for SF Locals with a unique service style reminiscent of eating with family.

I've been coming here on and off (ie. every 6 months) for a while (including pre-pandemic). PintxoPote never disappoints. The service is personable and friendly, and I appreciate that the waitress/hostess takes the time to review the menu (and does this with pride). The rack of lamb is delicious!!

With only 10 bar height chairs at the cocktail bar, the COMMIS BAR experience offers a fixed 4-course menu highlighting some the best seasonal Northern California ingredients through modern and classic cooking techniques.

Diners at the bar are invited for 1.5 to 2 hours over the entire course of the meal with the shorter fixed menu compared to our full length DINING ROOM menu experience.

It is by far one of the best food experiences I’ve had! The food was exquisite! Flavors jumped from the dishes. The wine pairing was good also. The caviar appetizer tasted so good! We sat at the bar. The service was excellent. The different courses came out in perfect timing. It was the most expensive dinner I’ve ever had, but worth every penny.

This place is awesome. The menu is very creative and the flavors are thoughtfully balanced. I had the salmon tagine, which was fabulous. My friends had the chicken and a signature Moroccan dish, basteeya, which was fantastic. The first courses were also great (we had the spreads with bread, the charred prawns, and sourdough). I highly recommend this restaurant and I hope to go back soon to try more of the menu!

An absolute pleasure to dine here. Ronanin and the rest of the front of house team were absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. It was great to have some of the chefs come out to explain their food with such passion. Really impressed with the whole experience. Can’t wait to come again for the food and service!
