There was no hostess when we arrived. We had to go to the bar to inquire our reserved seating. It was not busy and we waited over 45 min to receive our food, we also had to flag down our waiter to take our order. We ordered a starter as well as chicken picada and a west coast burger neither one was appealing. The food had no flavor and was barely warm. Definitely, over priced for the quality and taste.
Overall a good experience. The server was very attentive, the ambiance was low-key but somehow still active, and location was good. The only issue I had was the amount of food you got for the price you paid; I was still hungry after the entrée. I will go back, however.
Had a delicious meal in an eclectic and unique atmosphere to celebrate a special occasion! Wonderful food, cocktails, service, and value for money. Such a cute spot that I will definitely go back to.
We were staying at Hotel Zaza and looking for a low-key easy meal on a Sunday night after a busy Saturday in Dallas. We considered other area restaurants, but decided to stay close with Dragonfly. The environment is cool and trendy, resulting in an eclectic ambience. We even saw a major celebrity dining. I've visited this hotel and had cocktails in January and we were fortunate to have the same server as I did at that time. Tiffany was professional and cordial, offering great recommendations from the menu and willing to answer all of our questions. She was patient and allowed us to take our time through the meal. I would rate the food above average, and the kitchen/chef was very accommodating for any special requests. Tiffany is top notch, and I would definitely recommend asking for her if you dine here. Overall, a great meal with excellent service, in a cool and trendy setting!
My party and I had an awesome experience. Max was the most attentive and patient server. I will most definitely return and if possible have Max as my server.
Had a great time. Dinner for my wife's birthday with 2 other couples. They sat us in the private wine room and it was excellent. Ahmed provided excellent service and the food was top notch.
Even though we had a reservation we had to go searching for someone to show us to a table. Our server was not very attentive, did not listen and made several of us repeat our orders. When the food was delivered, the gentleman did not know what dish went to whom. Very slow to check back for another round of drinks. Food was fine but nothing to write home about. Very small quantities for a very large sum. In short; Overpriced, under serviced and mediocre food.
Had an early dinner before a show at AT&T.. Started with the tuna tacos - spicy and yummy! Had the strawberry salad which was great! The Salmon entree was fabulous with shaved cauliflower and raisins! Also enjoyed the creme brulee for dessert! Dinner was wonderful and we will return!
Excellent service, and generous dishes. Zaza was a great experience.
Amazing service! They brought complimentary dessert when they heard it was a goodbye dinner. Nice place and great food!
We dined here for brunch. It was really tasty and the service was great! They could dress up their bloody mary's a little more... salted rim at least! But overall we had a great experience.
We came to check for a party. The atmosphere was great, the food was meh. We had the fish, lamb chops party of six. Unfortunately, had to return the chops; first was well done , second was rare , third was perfect. The Manager apologized , yet charged ( usually, they don’t at upscale restaurant). Drinks were nice and we booked the party. Again food was disappointing for such location.
We had a blast while celebrating my birthday’s boyfriend here . We were blessed with great service ! Definitely a fun environment !
The smoking area is not the best. I am a nonsmoker, but having a row of black plastic ashtrays sitting on the top of a fence does not meet the standard I would expect from ZaZa/Dragonfly
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, great r experience . Loved it.
Service was fantastic food was delicious. The only thing we were disappointed in was the jumbo shrimp. We ordered two servings without seeing it first. It was tiny shrimp cut into pieces. There was nothing jumbo about it. Just FYI :) Everything else was spot on!
Was perfect. Thank you
Happy to recommend this as a pretty breakfast spot if you're trying to have intimate conversations. I'm sure it doesn't happen often but it was a not so stellar breakfast for myself. My friend seemed to enjoy her meal thoroughly though so I'm chalking it up to waitstaff being tired. My friend ordered first: Egg white omelet with chicken sausage, a cheese and two vegetables. I ordered a regular omelet with chicken sausage, fontina, avocado, and jalapenos. The waiter read back our orders but forgot the jalapenos which I clarified and he laughed, commenting "you speak too fast." That seemed a tad on the critical side for breakfast at 7:30am. We get our meals and I cut into one end piece and find what appears to be shredded ACTUAL chicken, chicken sausage, and jalapenos. No avocados. I thought it was just the one end, maybe a piece of chicken had gotten in there. No. The entire omelet was filled with shredded chicken, jalapenos, chicken sausage. No avocado in sight. After explaining to another server they were gracious enough to give us some sliced avocado on the side, but honestly, the breakfast was ruined as there was so much chicken cooked into the omelet that I couldn't even pick out what was just eggs. I'm disappointed that after being told I talk too fast, the order was still somehow wrong even though the item the waiter had originally missed was actually in the omelet. Am I miffed that I spent $15 on an omelet that I could barely eat? Yes. Would I recommend this place for breakfast? Absolutely, because I believe it was a mistake but it was one that threw off the rest of the meal. Also, maybe don't poke fun at the way your clientele speak.
Two of us dined at Dragonfly for Mother's Day as most restaurants were already booked earlier in the week and I could get a table there fairly easily. The restaurant was quiet, inviting and not very busy at all. The waiter was a bit casual and that is fine., but we had to get his attention several times. I ordered shrimp avocado toast off the Mother's Day brunch menu and thought these items would be delicious and that was definitely not the case. The food was not very good at all. The waiter brought our check before he even asked if we'd like coffee or dessert! That day, we paid for ambiance. I could have gotten a more delicious meal at some place way less expensive.
Dragonfly was a great restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day brunch. Food was excellent, and ambiance was stylish and cozy. Service was very friendly and good but a bit slow on coffee /water refills. We will be return for a date night and try dinner.
They greeted us kindly and seated us quickly. We had a beautiful view of the pool, and the seating was comfortable and intimate. However, our server showed up to introduce herself, then gave us a moment and never came back. We were given a different server who did not know what the specials were, and suggested it “is always some sort of fish.” The cocktails were unremarkable, and neither of us ordered another. The meat and cheese tray included some roast beef that was, well, discolored, however the cheeses, honey, and almonds were acceptable. The snapper was okay, but not unique. Everything was over cooked and honestly left me with the impression that we could have been served and fed better at BJs restaurant or at home with a plate stuck in the microwave, which is probably what we received anyway. I had explained on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and we received no indication that this was noted. Highly disappointing experience.
Dragonfly was excellent. Food and wine quality were as you would expect. However, it was the service that stood out. Ahmed was absolutely wonderful and accommodating when my party had a hiccup in the middle of service. He was kind and took care of us above and beyond the call of duty. Can't recommend him enough, and the restaurant as a whole.
Great atmosphere and even greater tasting food. I would love to eat there again.
Great restaurant! Great food, good variety of choices, fun atmosphere and great service. Tiffany, our waitress, was amazing. Highly recommend!
The red fish was a little burnt.
Service was inattentive and rude for only a few tables
Good food and good ambiance, if you like the night life. Don't go early though; they cater to the bar crowd/night life and seem to be annoyed by people who come for dinner. It's not their gig. The food was very good, but overpriced and small portions. The bar staff and drinks were great.
Server was never around. Once we finally put in an appetizer order in, It was probably close to 30 minutes before he came back to take our dinner order. After dinner, he asked if we wanted dessert, we said no. Then, it took another 20-30 minutes to get the check.
Fantastic atmosphere, waiter and manager. I've been twice and they never disappoint
Nice to have a light dinner poolside. Wait staff was pleasant, french onion soup was not overpowering with salt, but the cheese board could have had a little more on it.
We absolutely loved this place. The service was above and beyond. They were extraordinary and that's no lie. The food was delicious too. If you have a special event for any reason, I highly recommend this restaurant as a great choice. The ambiance is unique and interesting and you have to look carefully at the details. Enjoy! We did...
Great atmosphere, food, and service! They treated us so well for our birthday. The music began to pick up later on in the night which I didn’t mind. I will be back!
Lunch at Dragonfly is always perfect! Juan is consistently a great server and the food is always creatively presented, the right temperature and taste great!
The drinks were quite nice, though just on that line between worth it and pricey. A Bloody Mary shouldn’t cost $15, even if it is tasty and well-made. The food was also good, but not anything I couldn’t have made at home with equal or better results. That said, the atmosphere was good. It had the right amount of people and “buzz”. It wasn’t too busy/loud, but it didn’t feel empty. The service was also quite good. We were served promptly and by waitstaff that was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Can't wait to go back!
Fantastic place. Me and my date had a great time with great food.
Great food and drinks! Perfect pre opera spot for fine dining!
Hotel and restaurant are lovely- a very nice setting in the main restaurant room. Food was consistently yummy and fresh across all of our dishes/courses. All the veggies were divine, great crab cake, fish and poultry cooked perfectly. Service was well-timed throughly the evening so we didn’t feel rushed. Will definitely recommend and be back for dinner.
One service note- please train your hostesses (and wait staff) to NOT say “No Problem” when you check in with a reservation or ask for thing. I know it’s no problem for you...I made a reservation!
My only complaint is the rez was not eligible for Open Table points. I do t understand why !
