OUTSTANDING! OUTSTANDING! OUTSTANDING! Amazing creative cuisine!
We are local to Ft. Lauderdale and have never been to Eduardo de San Angel. If I had to make a list of Pros and Cons, I would not be able to list any Cons. The server was extremely knowledgable about the food, flavors, and preparation. You must try the Cilantro soup, shrimp ceviche, carnitas, lamb chops, and duck. The food is infused with unique flavors and includes sauces like spicy guava syrup, a green tomatillo like no other, and a smoked chipotle chile sauce that completed each bite. I cannot wait to go back!

2nd visit, which was as good as the first. Fresh and well prepared food. The dishes were not your typical Mexican fare, but more traditional Mexican fine dining. Great fish dishes and the cilantro soup is delicious. Small wine list, but good selections at very reasonable prices. Very nice ambiance.

We are repeat customers of this restaurant for about 25 years due to Chef Eduardo consistently putting out dishes made with high-quality food ingredients cooked with a balance of Flavors to perfection.
We have taken many different Food Enthusiasts here to sample a variety of dishes that are prepared with mild spices imparting lots of flavor . We have never once in over two Decades been disappointed.
Our favorites that we order each time are Spicy Black Bean soup (best ever), Poblano Chili stuffed with Blue Crab and The Yellowtail crusted in Almonds, Thyme & also The Black Peppercorn crusted Snapper.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. I am not sure why I waited so long between visits. It was simply spectacular from beginning to end. The outside is not appealing. However, inside is quaint and lovely. The food is not your typical Mexican fare. They have deliciously unusual dishes. We ordered the tuna appetizer (yes, tuna in a Mexican restaurant). It was beyond fabulous. We then ordered their toasted almond snapper and the duck for dinner. I have no words to describe how good it was. We also shared a bottle of wine. We were never rushed and enjoyed every minute. Highly highly highly recommend.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. The food and service was very good but the ambiance is a bit rough and dated with some harsh overhead lighting. If you don't care about the ambiance, go for just the food. For me, ambiance is very important and I can find good food at many places so I probably won't return.

The food and service at Eduardo are exceptional. The seasoning and blending of ingredients is unique. You feel as if you are in a fabulous restaurant in Mexico. I highly recommend it!

Our dinner at Eduardo de San Angel is always excellent. It’s been about 3 years since we’ve dined at this wonderful gem and am planning to return next month for my birthday and hopefully, every month there after.

This place is and always has been a gem. The crispy duck is to die for and the butterflied pork chop is magnificent. Service is friendly but not intrusive. Real pros.

Very disappointing. The food was uninspired, except for one entry which was horrible. The place is old and extremely noisy. The service was generally good, but the food definitely did not warrant the price.
We will never go back, nor recommend to anyone.

Very disappointing experience. I dined here many years ago and had a fantastic time and was looking forward to enjoying a great gem again. While the talent of the chef was apparent and while the food we did get served was spectacular, we nevertheless had to cut our evening short. We waited an entire hour between our intermezzo and our entree and still were never served. Furthermore, we watched other diners that ordered entrees after we did receive their dinners. Our patience ultimately ran out, and our entrees were still not ready when we decided to leave. I certainly wouldn’t tell you to avoid the place because the quality is obvious, but waiting over an hour between courses at a quality place like this is simply unacceptable.

Excellent food and service. Loved the special entree of Skirt Steak and also the Filet wrapped in bacon. Melt in your mouth. Save room for dessert. Excellent chocolate mouse.

This place is a gem! I cannot believe I've always passed it by. The service and food was superb. They put small rolls on the table and the tiny ones had a real nice kick. We started off with delicious guacamole. We moved on to ceviche which was so fresh and tasty. We then opted for the cilantro soup which was superb. It is large enough that they split in two portions for us. The strange combination of cilantro and feta cheese was phenomenal. We were getting full so decided to share the skirt steak, the portion was large enough to share. Though completely full we couldn't pass up on dessert and glad we didn't. We had flan and a coconut pound cake, wow!!!

The only odd thing was they only serve wine HOWEVER they make a margarita with a tequila based wine and it was amazing! It really had a nice kick and did taste like a traditional margarita.

I think the price category on OT is incorrect as most of the entrees on the menu were in the mid $20/low $30 range. The restaurant was very quiet with light music in the background and service was impeccable. Looking forward to returning.

For over 25 years we have been frequently dining at Eduardo de San Angel and have never been disappointed. This time I had the steak wrapped in bacon and my spouse had the snapper and shrimp in parchment paper. We drank margaritas and I had the brownie with gelato and he had the new banana sponge cake, both were exceptional as well as our server and staff. Highly recommend this restaurant for a one of a kind meal.

Eduardo de San Angel has been our go-to place for special occasions for more years than I can remember. Last year we celebrated our 50rh wedding anniversary there. It was a lovely, intimate party. They serve delicious food. The dining room (actually there are two) is beautifully decorated in the Mexican style. in a delightfully decorated . This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. No tacos here.

It was 6 years ago since I had been back to this gem in the sea restaurant. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and we planned our night out to return to San Angels.
Thrilled that chef was still working his magic in the back room.
From start to finish our experience was over the top!

We entered with a ‘wow!’....beautiful ambiance, lighting, cozy. We were seated at last table -waited more than 5 min for anyone to come to the table. Table next was being served water, took no notice of us. Margaritas quite expensive - served in smaller glass w lots of ice. Warm Cornbread nice, starter chili pepper crab stuffed, disappointed not much flavor. Black pepper fish also not much flavor. Maybe an off night as restaurant highly recommended.

I’ve been here many times, this is the first time I was disappointed. The two crab appetizers had interesting flavors, but crab wasn’t Among them. The filet stuffed with cheese and poblano was cooked way too much and was not very good.

Overall a good experience, definitely worth if the occasion is romantic, or if you prefer a quieter atmosphere than the usual in Fort Lauderdale’s restaurants.
Appetizers are large enough as an entree. We should have ordered a ‘botana’ instead.
The food was good but not outstanding. Maybe we’ll give this restaurant a second chance with a different selection of dishes before making our final mind about it.
The ambience was perfect and that is just a rare find around here.

Es una locura, la comida mexicana es una de las mejores del mundo y no es apasionamiento porque no soy mexicano, es realidad pero resulta que Eduardo a elevado el concepto de la cocina mexicana a un nivel extraordinariamente elevado es una experiencia inolvidable cada vez que uno tiene la oportunidad de visitar esta joya. En contra puedo decir que el Parqueo es un desastre y que debería un restaurante de esta categoría tener un ballet parking. Nosotros sufrimos una bota en el carro de $68.00 por parquiar en un lugar pegado al mismo shopping que tenía un cartel bien escondido donde decía que no se podía parquiar nada una trampa para robarte el dinero el gobierno de ese lugar te piden cash y ni recibo te dan.
