Scott is an amazing waiter. He described the food choices perfectly!
My favorite restaurant in the DFW area.
It was fantastic!
Ellerbe’s never disappoints. I took two people new to Ellerbe’s for dinner Saturday night and it was, as always, outstanding. You never feel cramped or rushed there, and the noise level is such that you can really relax and enjoy conversation at your table, but it isn’t deathly quiet so you’re afraid to talk! They really hit the sweet spot there. The food is always incredible and Scott, our server, had a great sense of humor, took excellent care of us, and made spot on wine pairing suggestions for us. Ellerbe’s is by far my favorite spot, and definitely my special occasion go to. Go, and enjoy.
I've never had a bad meal at Ellerbe. The service is impeccable, and the menu -- old standbys and seasonal favorites -- is always interesting. Excellent wines by the glass.
Fantastic food, great service, excellent wine list, and one of the seemingly few places left in town where you don't have to scream to have a conversation with your tablemates!
Birthday dinner for wife.
New Years Eve - excellent dinner and overall experience. Terrific evening!
Very much enjoyed the New Years Eve dinner and wine pairing!
We dined at Ellerbe for New Year's Eve for their New Orleans style Prix Fixe menu. Being Louisiana natives and frequent visitors to New Orleans, we were excited to try Chef Molly's take on New Orleans favorites like Shrimp Arnaud and turkey and andouille gumbo and were not disappointed. Loved the wine pairings provided by our server (who is also a sommelier) which enhanced the experience. Left happy and full.
Ellerbe is one of our favorite Fort Worth restaurants.
Everything was excellent. The only thing to be improved was the fact that the restaurant was not full, which made for a “less happening” vibe than at times past. The food and service were outstanding.
Great location, sophisticated decor, good wine list, delicious food, and amazing service! The staff, especially our server Francisco, went above and beyond to accommodate our group. Everything we had was wonderful, but the Heart of Palms with addition of crabmeat, the Porkchop, and the Salmon were table favorites. And the dessert!!!! Big mistake if you don't order the Bread Pudding, and if your group wants 2 desserts, add the White Chocolate Pistachio Creme Pot. SO GOOD. Can't wait to return!
Waiter was personable, professional, friendly
Service outstanding, food well prepared and presente
Good food in a cute area of Ft Worth near medical center.
Absolutely fantastic! If they only had a fireplace!!
Waitress was perfect, accommodating, great suggestions, timing and just adorable!
I love this place! The food is great and the staff are friendly. I have never had a bad meal!
My finance’ & I took his dad to Ellerbe for a Christmas time special dinner. We had a great dinner & service. The atmosphere was festive & comfortable & classy all at the same time.
Wonderful romantic birthday celebration.
Ellerbe is consistently worthwhile and enjoyable. The menu is timely and innovative. The service is always above standard and the wine list educational if nothing else. A true gem for Fort Worth's restaurant scene.
Interesting well thought out menu...seasonal offerings...well prepared...like a nyc downtown restaurant...as sophisticated as you get.
We hit the jackpot at Ellerbe's recently, a restaurant we patronize several times a year, with our selections - warm butternut squash salad and eggplant ragu. Both dishes were delicious and inventive. I quizzed our waiter about the ragu so that I could attempt to replicate it at home. Several years ago we indicated a preference for a particular waiter, and now he always serves us, which is a nice continuity. The food is generally quite good with culinary sophistication married with down-home country cooking. Wine list is excellent and well-priced, with some unusual bottles. It can be noisy if it's full, but that's pretty much the story everywhere these days.
Good farm to table restaurant. Somewhat limited menu at lunch, but the food was fresh and very good and they had one off menu item. Attentive service.
Quiet restaurant with an older crowd, and dishes that were almost there, but not quite. My husband and I are in our early 30's and live in Italy. I wanted a date night spot where we could get a quality taste of Texas/American cuisine. Ellerbe was pretty, but it isn't very vibrant in terms of the scene; the rest of the diners were older and we felt like we needed to be quiet. We ordered several courses, and agreed that there was at least one or two things with each dish that wasn't great. For example, the gorgonzola mashed potatoes were very milky/watery and the cheese was hard to taste. The kale under the bacon-wrapped trout (which was better without any bacon, btw) had long spiky stems that were really hard and unpleasant to each. The gumbo appetizer only had a light portion of shredded turkey, rice & some herbs - was really missing the heartiness and texture you expect from a gumbo. The wines are also very pricey. I have some experience in wine, and was disappointed to see wines for sale in the shop marked up by 50 or even 100 if people want to enjoy them in-house. So I don't know. It was pretty, the food was decent, and the atmosphere is nice for a quiet, low-key evening. If that's what you want, you'll be happy here.
Anniversary celebration. Fantastic farm to table ingredients accentuated by great service. Brandi, our server, was attentive to our needs but did not rush us or over “serve” us. Gave us plenty of alone time. Food was amazing and the wine list is not too big to overwhelm but offered some good options that weren’t overpriced. It’s pricey but less than an overly hyped steakhouse downtown that is crazy busy on the weekends. Ambiance is great for an old gas station which I think is pretty cool. We’ll be back with appetites a blazin!
The food was good, I wasn’t overly impressed. My mint ice cream was green vanilla ice cream with no trace of mint. When I brought it to my server’s attention, in fairness, it was eaten, he didn’t offer to comp it. I hope he did tell the chef to taste it. The wine we wanted was no longer available but still on their list without notifying us first that it was out of stock. After carefully considering a wine for our table that took me 10 minutes to choose, it would have been nice to have known that.
Disappointing yet again. Second time to try this again. The wait staff is so restrictive there is no critical thinking. And oh. Wait the menu has all the regional flavors and fresh daily foods. Except. The okra was out. No cucumbers. So no sauce to go with the fish. No appetizers. Out of those too. Out of ice cream so no ice cream unless you get one of the deserts then you can have a scoop because the waiters are told ice cream can not be sold singularly. The restrictions and slow service is just too much again to try this place again. We’re done with Ellerbe.
The food is always great here. We were disappointed that several of the menu items were not available the day we visited, i.e. black-eyed pea/wild rice soup, okra and cornbread. I opted for sea bass po boy which was tasty.
Love this place. The wine list is brilliant, the food is outstanding, and the service is superb!
Every time we eat here we have a wonderful experience both with food and service. Would recommend for any and every occasion!
Always fabulous. Wait staff make you feel special. Food is out of this world.
Dishes are always something special, a new combination or flavors. Very relaxing atmosphere, not over done. Off the beaten path but not in the middle of no where.
Celebrated wedding anniversary #50. We have never had a bad meal here. Service is always first-rate and the food is to die for.
Excellent food and service. Healthy eating with good options.
Great service and food to match. Rotating menu with ranging options.
My wife and I hold Ellerbe as one of our favorite special occasion restaurants in Fort Worth!
I love the options which include the wonderful local pears!
Service always attentive.
Food preparation very poor
Ordered breast of duck. Cooked rare. Knife would not cut through the meat
