Valentines dinner done right!! Down to every detail, Fearing’s delivered a beautiful experience!
Went for Valentine’s Day and my wife birthday with another couple and neither of us were impressed. Arranged for 2 separate vases of a dozen roses to be in our table and only 1 were delivered as rest misplaced the other one. We had a fixed menu which we were aware of but the food arrived cold and bland and tasteless. Do not think we will return given a choice.
The chef really cares about the product he is putting out... And it shows
5 Year anniversary dinner / early valentines. Our first date was here. Can’t say enough about how outstanding the food and service are. Dean came by our table and when he heard about how our first date was here, he went out of his way to step up the already amazing service and even treated us to free dessert. Just love Dean, such an awesome dude. Will be back again and again!
The food was excellent and the menu is wonderfully thought out by Chef Fearing. Chef Fearing visited each table and was a welcoming host. The main service staff were lacking in attentiveness by comparison to the Somm and kitchen. Overall great experience and will be going back.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary!
It was great! However, there were a few shells in my crab mac and cheese. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will return for seconds.
Service is always tops at Fearing's, and the food is always impeccably prepared. It's also a fun place to dine especially in "Dean's Kitchen." And, the cuisine is great and changing; makes you want to come back for more. Dean and staff, y'all are the best!
We have been to Fearing's many times and had such a nice time last Valentine's Day weekend that we decided to return this year. There were three things that I found less than wonderful this time.
1) The idea of being summoned by text to my table really was offputting. There were three hostesses plus the maitre 'd standing at the host stand, and I was supposed to respond to a text as if I were in a chain restaurant or diner? I even asked them to come get me and they didn't...On a hunch I checked my phone and noticed that our table was ready. Not happy with this development!
2) Waiter forgot part of our order. Luckily Dean Fearing himself stopped by just as we had gotten served, and took care of it immediately, and even arranged to have the item comped from the bill. Still, it left me wondering if they had just forgotten or if it was coming, and my husband waited to start his meal, so it wasn't seamless.
3) Not that we would ever leave hungry from Fearings, but....the waiter also forgot our mignardise, the little box of surprises that was delivered to all the other tables around us.
I know these are picky, but we do expect a higher, more seamless level of service at Fearing's, so these took away ever-so-slightly from an otherwise lovely experience.
Every dish we had was perfect. Bison was tender and had wonderful flavor. My scallops were a tad salty but not too much to not enjoy it. The oyster app was the right amount for us and had a delicious crust. Our two servers were incredibly friendly and very attentive.
Amazing night for my wife and me. We were celebrating an early Valentine’s Day. It was romantic. I am satisfied.
The menu is so unique. When we travel to Dallas we always head to Fearings for an outstanding experience. The Chef and staff are very engaging - they always make you feel welcome.
Great service, great food, with a very enjoyable ambiance. Very diverse menu with excellent desert choices.
First time and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The owner takes pride in ensuring the guests enjoy the food and he is very personable. We will be back. The steak was perfect and the drinks and dessert were absolutely amazing!
Great food and atmosphere. Great menu options with some “game” options as well. Had a great time
Coming from the United Kingdom and booking this on the understanding this was up market in the Ritz-Carlton have to say it was an utter disappointment.
From how the plates looking old with the design and logos half missing on them to getting a piece of fried lobster. If I wanted something which tasted like KFC I would of just done a drive thru.
Very sad and feel well out of pocket.
Wonderful experience! Excellent service and provided a special treat when I noted that it was my husband’s birthday. Definitely a must try.
Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dallas and enjoyed the brunch. Great service and food. Great hotel too.
Amazing food , wine and service !!!
Food and service were excellent.
After a long flight from Australia, we were greeted at the restaurant by a lovely man who should me to our table for 5. I was blown away with the service, our table allocation in the restaurant and the food was superb. We will certainly recommend to our colleagues and friends. Thankyou
Always excellent and great atmosphere. Thank you to Dean Fearing himself for greeting us.
The food was fabulous and the service was top-notch. A balance of sophistication and friendliness. And Dean Fearing came by our table twice during the course of the evening to chat and ask it we had any questions. It was a memorable evening of the best food including a complimentary soup shooter before dinner and sweets afterwards. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly; not at all intimidating.
The service was unusually slow and the food was not up to their standards.
Fantastic food and service as always! Easily my favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Service was great, prompt, attentive. The apple dessert was quite dry, surprisingly - it might be the first thing I’ve ever had that I didn’t LOVE at Fearing’s.
Today was our first brunch at Fearing’s and for the most part we enjoyed our dining experience. The Restraurant Management should take note and look at the overhead light fixtures above several booths along one side of the dining area, and remove the dead bugs your customers can clearly see in the light fixtures above. Little things like this take away from what should be a fine dining experience for your customers. We hope to dine there again sometime in the future.
Everything about this is first class. We had 5 for a birthday dinner, lots of different selections, all were outstanding. The server was wonderful, helpful and had the bar make me a drink she remembered from Austin. It was great. Go to this restaurant and you will not be disappointed.
This is one of our favorite places. Martin is an amazing waiter. His attention to detail is impeccable. The duck fat tater tots, roasted mushrooms and banana brûlée are meant to be savored.
Excellent food, very thoughtful, full flavor profiles. Highly recommend!
food was under impressive for the taste, creativity i expected.
our waiter kept trying to take our plates away sooner than we wanted making us feel rushed..
too many people kept coming by our table interrupting our conversations.
our bill had 2 extra charges that were not what ordered of a value of $150. The lack of accuracy on the bill was settled but inconvenient.
i don’t feel like i would eat there for dinner again.
Outstanding. Thank you for entertaining my boys as well! See you soon!!
Perfect food and ambiance - delicious, cozy... Service pacing was perfect. Flavors were perfect. Place temperature. Music, lighting, all perfect.
Went there for a birthday, truly disgusting service. Waited and waited for our waiter to greet us, barely a greet. More of an order taker, which I expect, at an ihop.
Finished our meal, had plates in front of us for more than 10 minutes as our waiter stood in 4 feet away doing nothing but talking to to his coworker. At some point someone actually cared about experience while dining ther, and it was the dining assistants who finally noticed our dissatisfaction of seating with dirty plates in front of us for over 10 minutes while dining there for a celebration.
Point is, so many great restaurants to eat that provide a full dining experience in Dallas. I made a huge mistake by going there and expecting something.
PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
Spend your money on places that care about how you spend your money. This is not the place.
Horrible experience, horrible celebration.
Yet we still tipped 20%.
Dont be stuck in this situation of feeling neglected while spending your money.
You can do better.
Great experience! Food was excellent and the service couldn’t have been better.
Excellent food and service
Amazing! The food, staff, Chef Dean, and Paul the sommelier will take great care of you.
Outstanding second visit. Snapper with chorizo and red chile pozole was outstanding as was the buffalo tenderloin with jalapeno grits. Tortilla soup good, but a little salty. Cold shrimp cocktail perfect. Great to visit with Dean about the menu and Paul offered excellent wine options. Great anniversary dinner with family. Reservations on time seating, great cocktails and not pushed out of restaurant, wonderful evening.
Chef Fearing is always out in the dining room, saying hello
And checking on the meals. Energetic atmosphere and great food.
Nice touches with the amuse bouchée, dessert sampler, and small trifle gift to go.
