We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food and service both get an A+.
Superb. Food, service and variety of food choices was excellent
When one goes to a Ritz-Carlton for Sunday brunch, it's expected to be an elegant experience. When the restaurant is run by Dean Fearing, a stalwart of Dallas fine dining, one expects only the best. We were most disappointed! The first mistake was to walk us through the elegant dining areas to the "coffee shop" where the guests were very casually attired and rowdy. We're in our "Sunday best". They were peeved when I insisted on being moved to the nice dining room. We ordered appetizers and entrees expecting them to be served in timely course succession. They were not. Everything was brought at once with no time for enjoyment of the courses! We will not return and Dean should be ashamed of the $100 bill we had to pay for the "experience"!
Enjoyed the experience of being in the casual kitchen area. The Wagyu carpaccio was off the chart amazing.
The lamb falling off the bone tender. The antelope amazing and didn't need the mole on the other side of the plate the braised rabbit enchilada. . . where was the rabbit???
Alicia the sommelier was truly lovely, Michael was pleasant and the support staff was excellent with one exception, a young gentleman that was awkward with his hand to the chest bow when delivering a plate.
Overall a nice meal, sadly when we were leaving there was no one to retrieve our checked coats. Alicia the sommelier was awesome and finally found them not where they should have been but she found them Kudos Alicia for delivering both an excellent bottle of wine and our coats!
Really outstanding evening for our eight guests. Chef Fearing came and greeted the table. Service was great and entrees from buffalo, antelope, pheasant and the standby filet and chicken fried lobster all were amazing. Drink service was outstanding along with the wines. Probably my favorite Dallas spot.
Excellent food and service.
We appreciate the fact that Dean greets the customers.
Always an outstanding experience. Everyone so personable and food consistently delicious.
They have an awesome vegetarian menu— but you have to request it. Lou was a great server. Very nice brunch spot.
Service was really bad
This is our family's favorite restaurant! We usually go there once a year when my son is home from college. The food was great as usual. Our server was very accomodating to my dietary needs and altered the existing meal to my tastes. I appreciate this, as where some restaurants are not as willing to do so.
Overall, it was a great evening! Thank you!
Great menu...food was outstanding!
Perfectly paired flavors in every single bite! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Fearing's continues to be the best place in Dallas for lunch or dinner if you want to impress your date, spouse, friend, or client. Incomparable food and A+++ service. The perfect place for a "special" meal. You and your dining companion(s) will not be disappointed.
The food was amazing! Crab cakes were to die for and the fried lobster was delicious! The only “negative” was the service. For the price we would have appreciated better service but the food was great.
Every bit of a 5 star dining spot. Dean Fearing is the best in Dallas.
We dined here for NYE. We love our food and as far as Dallas restaurant standards go this is higher on the list, although not quite worth the hype. Barely compares to other international city standards in terms of flavor or class. Desert was the best course. Service was exquisite.
I have never had a bad meal at Fearing's. The menu is eclectic and there is always something new. The food is exquisite, including the presentation. Chef Fearing comes out and talks to every table, which shows the strong focus on the customer. If you haven't been, you need to go.
Fearing's is a fabulous restaurant. We went on NYE, which promised to be pretty exciting with the Gatsby Party they were hosting in the bar area included. The challenge was that we arrived 30 minutes before our dinner seating. We thought we would enjoy a cocktail in the bar before dinner. Unfortunately, all the seats in the bar were reserved for the party patrons. Now, since it was 6:30 pm, they weren't yet there, however we didn't have a place to sit at all as the seats were roped off. Kind of a lousy way to start the festivities.
Other than that, however, the food and ambiance in Fearing's was, as usual, fabulous. I just think that they should think about an area for the dinner reservations to sit while waiting for a table.
The service, the food, & the ambiance was fantastic! Couldn't have asked for a better New Years Eve meal!
Was an Excellent NYE dining experience for my wife and I. It was our first time dining at Fearings. Chef Fearing came out and visited with us... We will definitely be returning to dine here again. We consider ourselves fine dining foodies and frequent high end facilities across the US in all our travels... Cheers
We have noticed that prices increased at least 40% on the last few months. And quality has not, still the same.
We went on New Year’s Eve and the dinner per person was $175.
Quality was decent/ok but NOT for a $500 dinner for two people (without alcohol). Service and food would have to be a lot better in order to justify that amount.
We can definitely find better restaurants , Michelin stars for the same amount.
Appetizers were very good.
Main course was ok.
Desserts was very bad.
Prices have to go down, otherwise this is not good Value.
Honestly, you can't miss.
Mac and cheese cold
Early New Years Eve celebration. The entire experience from the valet to our waiter, who ran outside as I was driving away to give me my forgotten “take-home”, was truly outstanding experience. This was our 3rd year to end/start the New Year, there will certainly be a 4th, 5th.....year(s).
Wonderful Sunday brunch. Food was delicious and excellent service. Highly recommend!
Dean always comes through with innovative Southwestern cuisine and new takes on familiar dishes. My wife and I celebrated our 46 th anniversary there. Impeccable service and excellent food. My antelope was spicy perfection and my wife said her redfish was the best she ever tasted. Desserts were a bit bland but acceptable. The only area which needs improvement. Perhaps it was because we were both stuffed. We said we were going to the theater so our waiter had our car waiting. A truly exceptional dining experience.
Great service, delicious food!!!
I eat here often and love this place. It's convenient to Uptown and Downtown. The food is first rate and never disappoints. The service is impeccable. Chef Fearing often comes around at lunch and dinner to personally thank the diners. The best is never inexpensive, so just bring your credit card and be grateful Dallas has top rate restaurant options like this one.
Fantastic food for all three courses. And nice ambiance despite having less than desirable table next to a big stone pillar. We had coconut lobster bisque, Caesar Salad, surf & turf with fried Maine Lobster, lamb osso bucco, and two amazing desserts: apple spice cakes and chocolate hazelnut crisps. Definitely recommend.
Birthday dinner with my girlfriend, they really looked after us and made us feel welcome. Although it is a pricey restaurant it was not a pretentious one with the staff being very friendly and lovely to deal with. Jeff was our waiter and he went out of his way multiple times to make our night special. I will definitely be back this place was fantastic!!
Great menu with thing not normally seen good portions but pricy
Second trip to Fearings, fantastic again! Bring your wallet but know you'll get your moneys worth. We tried the Bison steak and the filet/fried lobster. Both plates were excellent and went well with the bottle of red wine we had to accompany the meal.
Go to Fearings with great expectations!
Your hostess, Ms. Bembry, did a phenomenal job helping me arrange this celebratory meal for my brother and sister-in-law. They had a fabulous time and everyone could not be happier. Thanks for making this a special meal/event for them!
One of the best experiences, wonderful service and amazing food! Everything was delicious!
Enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner. Wonderful evening - Chef Fearing was in the House, checking on guest as well as the kitchen. Food was outstanding as was the service. Was not disappointed.
Great job by Dean and team on a special Christmas Eve menu!
Christmas was very special there
Starter was the highlight, perfect scallops!! The lamb was gamey and tad bit undercooked.
