Best Brunch Restaurants in Upcountry

Breakfast at Mala Ocean Tavern was an absolutely wonderful experience. Sitting right on the water, we enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the waves gently rolling onto the shoreline while taking in the beautiful ocean views. The atmosphere was relaxing, inviting, and the perfect way to start the day. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared, making the entire breakfast memorable. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from Chelsea. She was warm, attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Her attention to detail and positive attitude elevated an already fantastic dining experience. If you're looking for a spectacular waterfront breakfast in Maui, Mala Ocean Tavern is a must-visit. Great food, breathtaking views, the soothing sounds of the ocean, and exceptional service from Chelsea made this a morning to remember.

Ate here twice in one week while in Maui. Absolutely perfect both times. Zebedee was our waiter both days, as well. He was so sweet and attentive and very knowledgeable about all the menu items. Made us feel like we were long time customers (which we would be if we lived in Maui). And helped us celebrate our honeymoon by giving us a little something special. The meals were amazing. Flavorful with unique and fresh ingredients. Everything was cooked to perfection. Desserts that absolutely wowed us. Short but comprehensive enough by-the-glass wine list. Beautiful sunset view. Gorgeous hotel with the restaurant situated on an open air covered patio. I know I keep using the adjective « perfect » but both dinners were just that. Recommend without hesitation!

Anna was our server and she was fabulous. She had great recommendations for drinks and food. She kept checking on us to make sure we were doing good and didn’t need anything else. The Kai roll, wings, Caesar salad & potato crusted mahi with lobster sauce were delicious! Great wine selection by the glass too! Staff were very friendly too!

The freshly made Belgian Waffle is yummy! We also enjoyed the fresh Poke and the seafood selection. The view of the ocean was fantastic too!
