Best Cozy Restaurants in Venserpolder

Great food but easy to over order. Choose wisely and ask server for volume details. Not the quietest restaurant but the music was good. All dishes were great quality, well presented and really tasty.

Best presentation of a burger I’ve seen. And very tasty. Great location.

We had a dinner, oysters and escargot as starters, cod and fillet mignon (specialty of the day) as main courses, apple tart and hemelsche modder (=heavenly mother) as desserts. Excellent meals and a fantastic service. The third time we visited the restaurant and will do it again next time we visit Amsterdam

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here. I booked this about 3 weeks prior and was a bit disappointed the other Seafood Bar (closer to the railway Central Station) was already booked up for the time we needed. It wasn’t a bad walk…about 30 minutes from the train station, but that included browsing along the way. We also missed the one right turn off of the main road from the station because the “street” we were to turn off on was more like an alley. I wanted a restaurant with great food and atmosphere and was a little afraid when we saw the place from the outside because it didn’t look like much. Once inside, I had a change of mind. The place was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It looked and sounded like a lot of locals were dining there. It wasn’t the intimate setting I had hoped for, but the food and service was impeccable. My wife had the Dover Sole and was cooked perfectly. Joao filleted it table side. I’ve had better fish and chips, but it was very tasty. Diana made sure we were taken care of with attentive service. If you want great food and service at a fair price, this place fits the bill. I highly recommend it.
