We were celebrating a friend’s birthday there and we had an amazing time! My friend got a drink on the house to celebrate her birthday! The host Chris was so friendly and kind. Food was delicious, highly recommend!!

After a 12-month hiatus from the area, we started searching for somewhere that felt special again. Somewhere with atmosphere, consistency, and food that actually made us excited to come back. We stumbled across the socials for Wellington Bistro and followed along until opening day finally gave us an excuse to book lunch. Since then, we’ve been back more times than we can count. What started as curiosity turned into one of our favourite places in Brisbane. We kept returning, excited by the small menu changes and slowly working our way through everything we could justify ordering. Then one night we sat at the bar… and that became our spot. Charlie and Armi have always made us feel genuinely welcome. Even our dog gets treated like part of the experience. The service is warm without being overbearing, and the food is honestly ridiculous in the best way possible. Every dish feels intentional. Flavour layered properly. No shortcuts. No “close enough.” Just good food made by people who clearly care. We’re unapologetic food snobs too. We fully understand restaurants can have an off night, so we always give a venue two chances before making up our minds. It happens. Kitchens get slammed. Staff get stretched. Bad nights exist. Wellington Bistro has never needed a second chance. It stole us on the first visit and somehow keeps getting better. Whether it’s our Sunday date nights, a wine at the bar, or dinner outside with family and the dog, it has become part of our rhythm. Do yourself a favour. Uber to Wellington Bistro. Order more than you should. Get a wine by the glass. Stay longer than planned. In a city full of restaurants fighting for attention, Wellington quietly reminds everyone what hospitality, flavour, and consistency are supposed to look like.

Had dinner with my wife. Food was very good and the Roti beef pandang was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend!
