- KKerryCheshire •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe visited Hawksmoor Liverpool yesterday to begin my husband’s 60th birthday celebrations and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant had gone to some lovely lengths to mark the occasion. My husband was presented with a bespoke 60th birthday menu which was returned to us at the end of the meal tied with a green ribbon as a keepsake. He was also given a birthday card signed by the staff. I’m sure Hawksmoor does this for many special occasions, but it still felt incredibly thoughtful and made the day feel extra special. We started with oysters, which were perfectly nice, followed by the scallops, which were absolutely delicious. They arrived a little later than expected, but the team apologised and explained the chef wasn’t happy with the first batch and had prepared fresh ones instead. For our main course we shared the Chateaubriand with both the beef dripping fries and the skinny chips. The chips were excellent, crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle and the steak itself was cooked to perfection. Although we didn’t have dessert as we had plans elsewhere afterwards, the staff still surprised my husband with a couple of chocolate cookies, a candle, and “Happy 60th Birthday” written on the plate in chocolate. All of the staff were friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Lilia, our server, who was patient, polite and helped make the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. My only minor observation is that the toilets are quite a trek downstairs. Overall, excellent food and service. Hawksmoor made my husband’s 60th birthday feel special and we’d happily return.More infoHawksmoor Liverpool££££• Steakhouse• Liverpool•4.7

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the menu is varied with plenty of both à la carte and set menu options. The food is always excellent quality, beautifully presented, and most importantly, the service is fantastic. On each occasion we’ve been looked after by Richard, who is friendly, attentive, remembers our drink choices, and remains incredibly efficient despite how busy the restaurant is. We’ll definitely be returning again soon.More infoThe Ivy Chester Brasserie££££• British• Chester•4.3

The food was delicious and very nicely presented. The restaurant itself has beautiful decor and was spotlessly clean. - GGeorgiaCheshire •1 review5.0Dined on Apr 21, 2026I can't comment on what the place is like when it's busy, as I went during a very quiet time but it's definitely worth a visit. The menu is a little vague so you might need to ask a lot of questions, but the staff are incredibly friendly and patient. I was served by Imogen (at least that's what it said on my receipt) and she was amazing.More infoBrasserie ABode - Chester££££• Tapas / Small Plates• Chester•2.5
