We are becoming regulars at this ‘hidden gem’ in Canterbury. The food is commensurate with top restaurants in the area, and the prices are really competitive. Have dined à la carte and the set lunch menu, the chicken liver parfait is amazing…as is the combination of blood orange and chocolate sorbets! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. There is a good choice of seating areas, both outside and in…and it is less than two minutes walk from a car park. It is popular with couples, groups and families with children. The layout of the rooms and garden means you can enjoy your meal in a lively or quieter environment depending on choice. I forgot to mention the cocktails and mocktails! Not to be missed!

Had an afternoon tea at the Abode, Canterbury. The food was exceptional, there was a good variety of sandwiches, wraps, sausage rolls and quiche. There were the traditional fruit scones with cream and jam and the cakes were delicious. All the food was amazing and plenty of it. There was a good selection of different teas to choose from as well. The service was very good, they did not rush us and were very polite and courteous. It made my friend’s birthday celebration very special and will definitely be going back again. Highly recommend, such good value for money.
