Carriage House is American classics with intercontinental flair. It’s Cheeseburgers and Pomme Pave. It’s Lobster Chiterra and Spam Confit Croquettes. Nothing is too casual, nothing is too sophisticated, and everything is next level good. See our latest menu here. Our building was a Carriage House for police horses in the early 1900s. The Chef's Room to the back door is the original footprint, which over time, has been built outwards to the current street and the facade we know now. The first business to occupy the space was, in fact, a bar in the early 1940s.

Mary C was stellar with her service, interaction, and expertise making our afternoon tea experience at The Palm Court more memorable than we could have expected. She was quick to greet us when we sat down and was patient with us when taking our time to decide which tea service to choose. (We chose the Traditional). Yes, there were lots of people during the holiday season, but Mary C was patient and kind, taking time to explain all the yummy things to eat. She even boxed up the extra treats we could not finish. Well worth the time and expense for an invaluable afternoon with Mary C. She is as much an asset as Eloise and we hope the Plaza hangs a portrait of her on their wall as well.

From the wonderful staff to the great atmosphere and AMAZING food, this is the place to be when in midtown Manhattan. We had such a great time enjoying every bite of our warm bread, fresh Caesar salad, delicious rigatoni ala vodka and chicken francese. Then our tartuffo and decaf cappuccino hit the spot for a perfect ending. A must visit when in town...you will not be disappointed.

First time visiting and was seated about 5 minutes early for my reservation. It was just my wife and I for dinner and what I can say is the food is large. Family style restaurant and would recommend for more than 2 people. With that said, we had chicken parm and pasta and the fried zucchini. Both fantastic. With drinks our bill was about $140.00 which was really reasonable for the amount of food you get. All in all, great place and great food and drink.
