• Pizzeria • Capitol Hill / First Hill

We opened our first pizzeria in 2004 in the burgeoning Capitol Hill neighborhood. For months before we opened curious onlookers poked their heads in the former auto body shop, and outlandish rumors spread. One person saw a team of masons reportedly flown in from Naples to build a gargantuan wood-fired oven, someone heard that the bricks also came from Naples rich with Vesuvian ash, a reporter ran a story about a taxi driver leading our owner down a dark Neaopolitan street to meet a talented Pizzaiolo who was then whisked to an airport….As it turns out almost all of the tall tales are true – on opening night people lined up for the authentic Neaopolitan pizza and since then our ovens have only gotten busier. Via Tribunali has been called "more authentic than the pizzerias of Naples," and even though that is a flattering exaggeration it is fair to say that our pizzerias have grown out of an almost unnatural passion for the food & wine of Southern Italy.

Top notch dinner and our waiter was phenomenal. I have eaten oysters most of my life (65 years) and I thought I knew a lot about them. Our waiter was a walking oyster encyclopedia, both in general and especially in regards to Seattle area oysters. Of course Elliott's isn't just oysters. My wife and I both had salmon for dinner and it was prepared perfectly. We will be back the next time we are in Seattle.

We had a great time because the waitress was amazing & sadly I can't remember her name. Having been a customer service manager she rocked the whole night! We learned the reason behind the statue of St. Gennaro & that the owner's from Naples! Brought back wonderful memories including my visit to see St Gennaro's blood. Unfortunately I didn't see it liquify. Such a memorable night! Thank you!
