Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in East Falls

Escargot and Trout Almandine were exquisite as usual. Tuna tartare was a new and special treat for us. Nothing on the menu disappoints. Zach our waiter was extremely friendly, attentive, and full of suggestions and descriptions. We simply love it here. If I had anything negative to say, it’s that the noise level seemed extra loud this visit—loud enough to make it difficult to converse with our guests across the table.

Food was very good. The pretzel appetizer was notable - served warm and tasted like it came right out of the oven. Roasted chicken was excellent as was the turkey sandwich and carrot slaw. The crab appetizer was not a big hit nor was the tomato salad on bread appetizer. The hamburger was outstanding! We were too stuffed to try the desserts!

When my dad asked for a fish and chips on his visit I knew I had to take him to The Dandelion. Service was good, food was phenomenal, the restaurant itself is cozy and comfy. We had a great time and are looking forward to returning soon!

Our first visit in 20+ years. We opted for the small plate menu for a late afternoon lunch, found the menu excellent, wine offerings the same, very good service at a fair price. Thank you for a very nice dining experience. 

Food Quality and Taste: 4/5 -Tomato Coconut Soup: 3.5/5 -Grilled Romaine Caesar: 4/5 -Salmon: 4/5 -Chicken Milanese: 4/5 -Carrot Cake Pie: 5/5 The food was excellent! Quality ingredients, great presentation and quality plating. Standouts? The salmon, the chicken Milanese and the carrot cake pie. Get that carrot cake pie!! Service: 4/5 Service was great! I was seated quickly and I was checked on often. It was little rushed, maybe because I was close to closing, but not a major flag at all. My to-go was boxed by the staff and I was taken care of. Atmosphere: 5/5 It’s so beautiful inside. Sorry I didn’t capture in my video. It’s beautiful decor and such a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a place I’d like to just sit and work. Value: 4/5 Dishes can be quite expensive, but the food quality, service and atmosphere truly make it worth it. Opportunities for Learning: 4/5 There are a few dishes I had to google while I was there. This pushed my food knowledge a little. For example, “Sauce gribiche.” Great opportunities to learn!
