- AAdrianToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoPunch offers a well-executed fusion of Indian and British cuisine in a refined, elegant setting. The ambiance is refined with illuminated wine displays, and beautifully set tables, creating an intimate and upscale dining experience. We started with the Scotch egg, which featured a crisp exterior and a flavourful center. While slightly saltier than my preference, it was still enjoyable. The fish and chips were excellent. The haddock was light, flaky, and perfectly cooked, and the chips (more like home fries), were satisfying. The tartar sauce had a subtle Indian-inspired twist, adding an interesting layer to the dish. The biryani, which we were informed when we ordered, required extra preparation time, was well worth the wait. Presented sealed under a dough crust and mixed tableside, it delivered authentic, aromatic flavours, and was enjoyed after we had shared the fish and chips. Dessert was a highlight as well. The sticky toffee pudding was rich, moist, and an excellent finish to the meal. Overall, Punch blends British and Indian influences with creativity. The concept works well and the atmosphere elevates the entire experience. The service was excellent, from the bartender who we went to until our table was ready, to our attentive waitress, who was knowledgeable and helpful as we ordered our meals. Highly recommended.More infoPUNCH$$$$• Contemporary Indian• Financial District•4.7
