Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Salford, Manchester/Greater Manchester

This is an outstanding venue for a relaxing meal - the dining rooms are fabulously high-ceilinged and sumptuous. I ordered the whipped smoked feta with broad beans and sourdough, and my companion had olives and sourdough. The bread arrived with the herb butter literally scraped onto the side of the plate. A quenelle would have made it world-class, but it just looked slap-dash. It made us laugh. Our mains arrived - I had the lobster Mac 'n cheese. Not a sign of lobster in it at all. My friend had the fish which she declared was delicious. We had creme caramel and cheesecake for dessert. The creme caramel was more consistent with the colour and texture of panacotta and the cheesecake was graced with a luminous pink layer of rhubarb jelly - which was rather fun! Our cocktails were gorgeous and the server was excellent. It was just the food that could have been prepared with slightly more finesse, but on the whole, a very, very enjoyable lunch.

Amazing food, luxury vibe, lovely wine and exceptional service. All in all a great restaurant and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Manchester.

A lovely experience made by the very attentive and personable staff, afternoon tea was well portioned, the setting was a lovely quiet, relaxed ambiance. One of the staff, whos name escapes me (the only Irish man in the building) was very inquisitive about both ourselves and the experience we where having and even went to the trouble of providing an extra little sweet treat for my birthday, the staff where brilliant and a credit to the establishment, their service made the experience 5 star, a very enjoyable time and I will be back

The Best Sunday lunch ever. Roast potatoes , vegetables , roast beef , roast chicken and the veggie nut roast plus the Jus was out of this world. Also the starters and desserts were class. To the chefs. "Where do you want your statue" Outstanding as was the service and ambience, beautiful room.
