Best Restaurants with a Vibrant Bar Scene in North Haledon

Varka is a consistently outstanding restaurant - - and has been for many years. The food is terrific and the service is great; the wait staff are very attentive and helpful. Our waitress Marianna went above and beyond!

The level of old-fashioned professionalism is hard to find. This establishment has it down pat. From the Hostess, the Bar Tenders and the server's attention was paid to myself and my guest like the old days. Truly a gem!!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was fabulous. The food, drinks, and service were outstanding. Our server, Hawkins, was the best. It was a crowded dining room for a Tuesday night, yet Hawkins made our dinner enjoyable and a pleasure. We will always come back to Savini's restaurant.

We very much enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Halcyon bistro. My clams on the half shell were excellent briny and served the perfect temperature. My husband‘s salad was bright and very enjoyable. I ordered the appetizer size steamed mussels with pomme frites. But the idea of putting the frites on top of the mussels so that many of them slide into the broth making them gummy and inedible is really not a good idea. It’s really the one criticism I have about the food the other night. Our server was terrific and the ambience was lovely.

Excellent ambience, service and food . 100% recommend especially if you celebrating birthday. They make it extra special.
