Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Café, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam. In the summer of 2004, Phoebe's experienced a refreshing makeover with a bright new look in the atrium dining room with fresh paint, new upholstery, and artwork. The coffee lounge also opened that year, and it became an instant hit with the surrounding university and business crowd. Those changes also warranted a new name to reflect the updated attitude and ambiance: Phoebe's Restaurant and Coffee Lounge. Classic elements of Phoebe's remain untouched—the French onion soup and enticing crème brulee, for example, but other menu items change seasonally. The Lounge also has its own seating area and free wireless internet capabilities. Phoebe's old world charm is right at home in a revitalized area of the city.

    This is my first visit to Daniella's Steakhouse and I'll just say WOW! From the quick sit down to our waitress Kim to the owner Charlie coming over to chat - overall a fantastic experience. The food was fantastic! And the owner called and left a voicemail for me the next day thanking us for coming in and hoped we enjoyed our dinner. Never had a restaurant do that. 10/10 - I'll be coming back for sure!

    There were three of us. We were seated promptly; our server was attentive and could not have been nicer. The menu was imaginative and varied. Our drinks were so good we did it twice. I have to say, I really admired the chic vibe of this venue. There was a definite sass and cheeky humor to everything, but the atmosphere was completely Zen. We each ordered something different. The others raved about their meals, and I savored every bite of mine. The presentation of everything was impressive. I could go on, but you just need to Go! Go on, Go :)

    We had such a great experience eating here. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection, tender and flavored perfectly. My wife loved the riggies and had plenty to take home. Even my daughter was thrilled with her burger, and said it was the best she ever had. It's not always easy to find a restaurant that everyone leaves happy but Mohegan Manor definitely delivered.
