Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Old City

This was my husband and my first visit to Front Street Cafe. Our son recommended it, and we took him there for his birthday brunch. The restaurant is well located on the corner, with an inviting exterior and interior that are not too crowded or noisy. You can dine outside, which is shaded and perfect for a sunny day. We ordered chicken tenders, deviled eggs, and buffalo cauliflower as appetizers, and all were excellent—10/10. I especially recommend the shrimp and grits with tomato gravy; it was very flavorful. I deducted one star mainly because parking can be difficult on weekends due to congestion, so paying for parking is advisable. Overall, we plan to return.

The food at Thanal is always amazing, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff attentiveness could use some improvement, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I also recognize that some of my service expectations come from a more Western perspective, so overall I have nothing but praise for the experience.

The overall atmosphere and menu are classy and approachable. The truffle fries were amazing and the service was impeccable, from the concierge to the wait staff.
